I would want nothing more then live in a commune or in isolation and find internal peace for me but I will not do that because I feel the need to change socities wrongs not cower away from them

QUOTE=gwg] I am a public defender,... Now, I spend most of my days working very hard, and I love almost every second of it. I love working hard to prevent injustices in society..... But I love fighting to make the world a better place. .

Good to hear from someone who is concerned over injustice, and wants the world to become a better place !
Some argue, that the legal system is merely game playing and not about justice. Law is a business,no longer a profession. etc,
Hope you generate feelings of accomplishment from your effort to prevent
    injustices.

Thanks for your kind words. Hopefully, the legal system will never become just a way for people to make money and protect others' money. Some of us still care to make the world a better place. But I guess some think I am making the world a worse place by protecting black people with weed . . .

That's the thing. Get away from sucksiety and learn to live directly off of nature. It can be done and has been done, even today. Not necessarily easy but I say definately go for it. Things in modern civilization could easily fall apart. Why not learn to live free of it?

aahahahaha now thtat's the spirit, use comedy, I dare anger to show up the face of a comedy rush.

haha, very good post, I know alot of things I have break down alot.

But I LOVE fixing things and that's why my main target i sInformation Technology. That business exists Alongside the internet BECAUSE of revolutionists and those of the good days, FOR of those people and the things that shifted from that which once was, and FOR the future and the rest of us to embrace and also improve as we go on. So it really is revolution in a nutshell when that all comes down to it...
    THANX GUYS. :)

Ever since I started barefooting, I found how unnecessary dogmatic and blind society is. I find it horrible how some people can call war necessary, or be so hypocritical.

I wish we all still lived in nature.. living WITH nature. not destroying it. To just only use the things you need, no needless things that we have right now. some clothes, some love, and some company.. yeayea..

Society is scary..big companies try to make money out of everything: if they see someone wearing something original on the streets, and people like it, they start to manufacture it so that everyone starts buying it. Everything that was ever considered altenative or different, is taken over by big companies. Still when you look or act different you're immediately thrown out. You're forced to conform to them, so that you won't be shunned and they can make money off of you. That's basically the point of commercialism and that is why I feel trapped by society: there is no way to escape from it.

haha, commune in scotland? good fucking idea.
If I wasn't planning to do the same thing you are over in Canada, I might just join ya. Ray Mears is the shit, not sure we'd need to go QUITE so "rugged-man survivalist" as he does, society DOES have a couple of good things (like matches and camping stoves, and tents). Sure, a pile of tree branches will keep some rain off, but if a tepee was good enough for the Native americans it's good enough for us.
Except maybe we wouldn't make it out of buffalo skins, them being kinda endangered an' all...
I definitely hear ya man, fuck the mainstream capitalist pig fascist empire!
And no, for once I'm not being ironic.

I can feel trappd by my society. i live ion a town with a couple thousand people in it and they have this community mind which is great, for them. i just don't agree with it. It is always about other peoples lives, gossiping and plotting and two facedness. I don't want this to be my life but if i stay around, being exsposed to it every day, i may eventually break. i love my village, it is soo pretty and quiet but the citizens are driving me to leave. :(
my mom doesn't even get me a lot of the time. One night we were arguing abot a contraversial project I did in school and her feelingsabout how i am not fitting in with the status quo became apparent. "but why do you have to be different all the time?" she said. Sometimes i do make an effort not to go with the main stream but a lot of it comes completely naturally.

    Question presented:
Is the public perception of the practice of law that of being a helping profession ?

Well, of course the public perception of lawyers is quite poor, but pubilc perceptions are simply prejudicial stereotypes. Stereotypes of lawyers make us all look bad. But not all of us fall into people's sterotypes.

Unfortunately there are too many humans to let everyone live with and in nature happily. Let alone a lot of them doesn't seem to want to..

yes unfortunately Asmodean. but there are people who just dont want that, as you said. they just want a life in the city, have an office job and the american dream. But then the world would still be in a war. But a least then many people found a good way of life, and that would help mother nature a lot. Can we ever change it?
