I was over a friends house the other day and she had this wine glass that had flowers painted on it, I thought it was cool and now I want to try it. Any tips on what kind of paint will stay when you wash them?

Delta PermEnamel Glass Paint is supposed to be really good.

Never put your painted glasses in the dishwasher though, always wash by hand.

Your best bet is to buy a kiln fired paint and paint it and fire it in a kiln after. Pottery places have kilns you can use. Hydroflouric acid can be use but will also rip a proton of your gramma! {Etching cream} Sandblasting is another way.

My first wife would paint glasses with brand name glass paints (can't remember the brand but you can find them in most hobby lobbys or similar). Although we didn't try running them thru a dishwasher (since we didn't have one) the paint stayed on good when they were handwashed.
