Did you know that Trees scream when they are chain-sawed.They give out a high - pitched frequency signal that can be picked up on gyger-counters or something. This has been noted in scientific journals.
I love trees, I've been known to come home with random bruises from hugging the trees at our school or mall. It upsets me how no body at my school see nature the way I do. She is my mother, she has brought me up and raised me and bloody hell she will take me out when she thinks the time is right...I hope to come back as something that wont destroy our earth. i believe only being human is a test to see where we actually belong.
I've heard that. A similar thing takes place when polyesters are herded into the pens and killed. <g> Fun site by the way. More here
i love weeping willows. i love losing myself in this wide field of pine trees by my house. oh man <3. i hug trees. my family laughs and calls me a treehugger. i laugh, too <3. i'm in love with the world!
Hugging trees is actually very important; we are certainly interconnected, in terms of our survival, to the 'biosphere' earth much more so than we realize in scientific terms. I thought this excerpt from the 'Hippocratic Oath' to be applicable, as an analogy, to our positions as stewards on this earth: Some say "first do no harm." We should have great respect and be very careful. I believe that technology is actually of, and from, nature and that any other view does not recognize that nature "made all of this"; and, that technology can be in harmony with what is commonly referred to as "nature." So next time you see a tree ask, "what are we, where do we come from, what is this place called earth, where does our food and air come from ?" Gaining insight, pausing to think and 'feel' rather that blindly "hunting" in a false self-assurance of the moment, is key to survival. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sequoia http://www.sonic.net/bristlecone/Martyr.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree
i love hugging trees, the best is you can find different size trunks for ifferent types of hugs, the big welcome wide hug where your hands dont meet, or the close personal smaller trunk about the same size as your body
