I don't know if I'd say ALL psychedelics havea noticeable corsss-tolerance... I know for sure LSD and mushrooms do from experience.
As far as I'm aware, that's part of the classification of drugs, thats why weed is confusing, because sometimes you call it a psychedelic or a stimulant, but it doesn't affect the same part of your brain, which is why it's really it's own thing. I only know that LSD, LSA, shrooms, and RCs carry a cross tolerance, idk about mescaline, DMT, salvia and others
First off, I've never heard weed considered a stimulant Secondly, There are tons and tons of RC's with all kinds of different neurological action, so it's much more complex than simply saying RC's carry cross tolerance. DMT effects the same parts of the brain as well as LSD/shrooms but one can vape DMT one day and dose LSD or shrooms the following day without tolerance. Most the rest of those longer lasting Tryptamine/Phenethylamine psychedelics effect similar parts of the brain so there is usually cross tolerance. Ecstasy has a somewhat different primary action but it's metabolites effect the same parts of the brain as LSD/shrooms so it may create a noticeable cross tolerance for some individuals as well. Salvia and weed have significantly different mechanisms of action.
My psych class was classifying weed as a stimulant.. I thought that sounded wrong.. The point is, there will be a noticeable cross tolerance, I think it's a bit lower than same substance tolerance, but it's very evident
Woah interesting, I tried to look for one of my old Psychology text books to see what it said but I couldn't find it. I took several Health and Psych courses though I don't recall a single one lumping weed in with stimulants.
Is your psychology class breaking down indica vs. sativa strains? Are you taking Psychology 420?
Haha, my psych teacher was a total burnout, she didn't say sativa specifically, just that weed can be classified as a stimulant, depressant, or psychedelic
wow, even erowid has stimulant and depressant under effects classification. News to me, I've never felt it stimulating. I realize it's a melting pot of chemicals but it's kinda strange to consider it both a stimulant and depressant. I dunno even Crystal meth can have relaxing qualities to it but I'd never consider it a depressant and alcohol can make one energetic but I wouldn't consider it a stimulant.
My psych class said that alchohol is only a depressant, but that there are some false theories that it's a stimulant in small doses and depressant in large. So idk, mind you, who actually classifies these substances. You're not even eligible for an FBI/FDA if you've used drugs...
Interesting, and I don't know who comes up with these classifications either or what criteria they go by. I guess weed can raise heart rate to my understanding but I don't see stoners usually bouncing off the walls  Seems like it too would be a false theory of it being a stimulant.
^Mine were said to be between 100-150ug each. Entering 300ugs is good enough to fully be immersed in psychedelia and not get too out of control
I am not totally sure on how much they are, I will ask next time. But im sure there not much, though, considering my area its good though.
I have recently gained insight into what you meant by this. My 2-tab trip of this weekend was more intense than either of my previous two trips, and I must say the relationship with weed was quite different. I did my usual one-weed-hit right after dropping, sure enough it helped the come-up be chill. However, right about the time I was peaking (2 hours in), I began having negative experiences with the trip (closest I have ever had to a "bad trip"), and I thought smoking a bowl would help calm me down. To be honest, I don't know what the bowl did. If anything it made the acid experience more cloudy and confused, although if so not by much. It certainly did not improve the emotional timbre of the trip, and if anything I would say the bowl was barely noticeable. Bit like a pebble in a hurricane, although I know I was not on anything close to 400mcg's...
Thats pretty interesting because one of my friends almost had something similar happen to him. He took a hit on his way up the peak, and said when he was on his peak he felt like the entire time he was almost to the point he wanted to be but he felt he was blocked by something else. He thinks the weed stopped his potential to be where he wanted. I think ill just smoke after my peak really, maybe get a second peak, if not still enjoy the the remaining lucy and some mary.
Story of my life. Ah the beauties of living in a remote town...even my weed dealer doesn't know who to ask to find acid. And I've had shroom hookups fall through FOUR different times since I started looking (about 3 months ago). (STILL haven't had a chance to try shroom! grr!)
Oh, baldy, I know where to find these things if I truly need them. But I prefer to "buy local" for obvious reasons. Let's not go further on those details because I believe discussion of *sources* is discouraged on these forums.
