are there any real, true to heart hippies out there any more? like living out of a bus, traveling the country, just going to wherever they end up? meeting random people along the way and making crazy memories listening to awesome musicians? this is what i want, but i don't know if this is a realistic hope.
Yep they are inbetween the ages of 40-55 or so. Yeah they exist but most of them went yuppie. As far as young "hippies" go, I don't believe in them... As said by plenty of Nam Vets... "YOU DON'T KNOW YOU WEREN'T THERE!"
i beat hippies to the ground and repeatedly stomp them in the throat till they choke on their own blood
thanks for the honest response. i guess my main concerns are financial. i guess the beauty of it is not worrying about it. i just need to gain the courage to do it. it might be different for a female though.
I would love to live on the road and not have any worries, but I love eating good warm food in a warm cozy living room. haha
i dont want to fit my family in a small bus. i would go mad. however, it would be much easier to clean
i don't know. i'm rich, i can't be a hippie. i guess i'm a vagabond. a wandering minstrel. i don't brush my hair, can i be a hippie now?
whats the big mania about hippies ? i don`t get it so if you travel and u have more optimistic, liberal way of thinking u are automatically taken for a hippie. those hippies u think of are a fruit of your imagination, i guess even the real old ones who experienced the 60 are not exactly the way you imagine them in your fragile mind, its all an illusion, utopia! a big great dream of something that has never totally existed coz u know ....hate is cool, anger is cool, frustration is cool all those are so awesome and make u feel so human and alive. love cant exist without hate remember that ! i dislike non hating people
Travelling musicians can hate too . Otherwise I agree with your post, I think lots of those travelling youngsters in the sixties or whatever decade weren't as free-spirited as they are now regarded. It was (and is of course) just mad fun to do it. Some may have been 'real hippies' for sure, as in some did fit the OP's definition.
I think everyone has different definitions of what makes a hippie. people call me a hippie because I have dreads, talk about nature, don't eat meat and wear flowery clothes. I don't try to be a hippie or think I am one. I'm just me^-^ I don't think any true hippy would use the internet so don't think there is any on here. back to yoiur question though, honey you can do whatever you want if you set your mind on it. who cares who's doing it. there's always a way.
