Any help would be great.. looking for certain book

I am looking for the name of a children’s book that came out in the late 60s or 70s.
I can only remember versus from the book. My dad use to read it to me at night.
One versus goes like this. “My dolly. I take such great care of her. I was her face, I comb her hair”
That is the only line of the book I can remember. Any help would be great in finding the title to this book.
