im not going to argue that jimi hendrix isnt fucking god, because he is... but still.. comparing that jimi song to the emery song is still hard to do... they both take a lot. im just trying to get rid of this myth that "all emo bands suck" because its not fucking true. and maybe there isnt a better way to discover that than looking at tabulature?
first of all, nothing can compare to Hendrix. second, i dont look at emo tabs. i dont listen to the music so why would i want to learn to play it? i dont like emo at all.
just trying to get y ou to respect it. i look at tabs all the time of bands that suck.. just to prove to myself that they do indeed suck... like for instance, kid rock... or puddle of mudd... look at there guitar tabs and you cannot deny that they do indeed suck... but if you look at emo tabs, they are very different... songs that take actual skill to play... why don't you like "emo" than. can't be because of crappy guitaring.
oh, and just because a song is simplistic doesnt mean anything. it may be the easiest song to play, but still may be one of the greatest songs......
my ass... cant remember what... some fucking nu -metal band wrote a song with 1 chord repeating over and over and they play it ont he radio all the time... very simplistic, and it does indeed suck.. simplistic songs suck in my opinion... they are the epitome of sucking... because they take no skill to play, or write. and they repeat over and over and over. however, if a song is considered "great" because the masses of humans were led to dance to it, and buy the album (it went platinum! it has to be good!) than perhaps your right.
thats something i have to agree with you on. puddle of mudd and kid rock suck. i hate them. i dont like emo simply because i dont like their songs or how it sounds. i dont like the guitar much either, but thats their style of playing and it doesnt mean that they suck at playing guitar. actually, i pretty much hate all new music or 90s music, apart from a few bands.
thats not true about all symplistic songs. there are many that are still great. like right now, i am listening to lifes been good so far by joe walsh, and most of it is poretty simplistic, but it is an awsome song.
i hate new music too... most of those bands i listed were just small underground bands u ould have a hard time finding on google emo started in the 80s... not like its some new thing... i mean check out rites of spring... disliking a song because of its sound is one thing, but labeling an entire "genre" or "label" as "sucking"(lacking skill) is a different thing to me. people never even give some great emo bands a chance and jeez, if your going to complain about emo, complain about the lyrics.

i agree, platinum doesnt mean shit "niggas dont go platinum, record companies go platinum" - dead prez and people truly love simplistic music because the majority of people dont know anything about music.. thus why n sync, puddle of mudd, kid rock, etc. are deeply loved by people all over the us. simply because people are fucking stupid thats my philosophy at least, please remember we are all wrong and ignorant in our own ways.
damn straight. but what people think of as good music is their own opinion. so you think that emo is good, and i think its shit. its all a matter of what your opinion is on it.

too many people confuse talent and respect with "good". there are alot of bands i greatly respect who are VERY talented, but i want to kill myself everytime i hear their music. yeah, hendrix plays guitar like no one who ever lived or probably ever will live, but that doesnt mean i have to like music he made. i could think its the worst music ever made, but that doesnt take away from his obvious talent.
