I seem to be alone here from CA.... Unless some miss my inquiry...

while i was neither born there, nor live there now, more the 40 of my 72 years were lived in placer and nevada counties, along the i-80 corridor, which is also the route of the first transcontinental railroad, which employed my father for much of his life and even myself for a brief period. from the age of three, until joining the air force after high school, i grew up therefor in california, the northern half of it, the eastern half of the northern half of it. the communities of truckee, roseville, sacramento, colfax, auburn, norden (on donner summit), and meadow vista. so while i'm not there now, the forests of northern sierras are the home i grew up in. and reno nevada where i live now, is only a few tens of miles to the east of there. the ten years from 77 to 87 that i lived in oregon were the longest so far i've lived any where else. having moved up to reno in 2012, depending on how much longer i live and do so here, in another few years i will have barely lived here longer. so yah, california, my part of it, is where i've lived more of my life then any place else.
