    I'm not a man but, I'm guessing it's because they are there to stop things from entering and things from exiting.
    Just like we have armpit hair to keep smells from escaping.
    We have hair for a reason :) As annoying as it is lol

    I think the anus knows that people grow upper lip hair, so it's a way to confuse predators into thinking our assholes are our mouths.
