I get the sense people here are generally on the left but that doesn't mean they support wokeness. Let's have a rant.

Is ranting permitted from the non-woke?

Most sites I've been to only allow the woke to rant.

What is it you think woke means? To me it usually means ‘good at math and history’

We LOVE ranting at HipForums... we were designed for that!

    Rant on...

BUT no insulting the other members, and if you go on and on endlessly in a circular fashion that would be boring...so keep it fresh and be OPEN to other people's opinions.

How do I say what Democrats are without insulting most of the members at this site?

Even that disclaimer from the mod reeks of partisanship. There's no way a woke post would be greeted with a similar warning.

    My rant for today:

When someone disagrees with me - or even outright attacks me - I don't automatically assume they hate me or they have some phobia against whatever group I think I belong to today. I don't feel I'm being erased or harmed and I'm not about to go hurt or kill myself just because someone disagrees with me. How does anyone get trained to think this way? Did their parents, their teachers, their friends never disagree with them, never say no or even expose them to views that differ even by accident?

WOKE has become a negative word - created out of a desire to be critical. It seems a lot of people who use that word use it in a way to be critical of others who do not share their views. I've also noticed that people who use that word don't really know for sure what it means - it represents a broad spectrum of ideas or opinions that are not shared by conservatives -
I'd like to hear some positive things from the conservatives as to why they have good ideas without being negative toward woke ideas - or against Democrats or liberals in the process - that would be more helpful.
I think we can have good conversations without attacks and feeling like we are hated.

Right. There's no way that Trump supporters or Republicans in general could ever feel hated at this site.

Nobody here ever posts Trump-hate or Republican-hate.

    It's always just good conversations.

Still, no one has given an example of what woke means to them. If the term or behavior elicits hatred, it should be easy to define

Folks who use "woke" as a pejorative generally do so because they can't spell words like "educated", "enlightened", or "empathetic".

it certainly seems to get used a lot for a word people are unable or unwilling to define

Merriam-Webster's Dictionary defines "woke" as "aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)".

So now we have definitions from members, the dictionary and a leading gop candidate. All have positive connotations. For those interested in anti-sone rants, what’s your definition?

    Then don't say it!

This is not a place to insult people.

Discussing politics is not fist fights brawls and executions...

    Can't deal with that?

Find a place that loves that shit, cause we do not.
