Monsanto's snr management and lobbyist gang should be rounded up and thrown into a filthy dirty 3rd world jail. The company should then be wound up and asset stripped. The proceeds should then be sent to farmers, public healthcare and members of the public who have basically had their immune systems wrecked. Monsanto is the Enron of the cancer "industry". Because ultimately, its a disease caused in very large part by uncontrolled "market forces". ( RANDOM FACT- huge numbers of mummified Ancient Egyptians have NEVER been found to have cancer...) Cue HF's Mr Conservastalker...
NoxiousGas Hipsearch: Keyword(s): Monsanto User Name: Pressed_Rat I looked for other threads and only found: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=238772&highlight=GM+Crops (pretty much repeating what he said in this thread) Perhaps his research was on the old forum from, like, when he was 18, or what not. I have a feeling your only going to get videos : / Me too. I've never got any from him, to the best of my recollection. I'm just trying to shift this onto another more pertinent thread, to be honest
I buy as much of my food as possible stamped with the official "Non GMO Project" stamp. If it doesn't say that I wouldn't trust that its non GMO. And I don't trust GMO's. They are hard to TOTALLY avoid though but I do my best.
I'm not surprised. Average age of 'mummy': 36 Older mummies 45: general health concern: atherosclerosis 'heart disease' Mean age of a patient contracting any type of cancer is about 53 The average age of stomach cancer patients is about 65 The median age for a diagnosis of lung cancer is 72 Food labeling anybody?
These mummies were in their late 60s and 70s. Strangely, altho people dont tend to die young nowadays, we arent seeing people get much older than ancient times. Its still the 3 score years and 10 maximum for many. Unfortunately there ARE considerable numbers of people getting cancer below 53, 65 and 72.. today, but not in Ancient Egypt.
I strongly believe that most cancer comes from foods. (in addition to things like x-rays, cigs, etc) but most cancer... food. And GMO's would be a likely culprit.... not saying the only culprit but in there.
so you have excavated and autopsied EVERY Egyptian that died 3-6 thousand years ago? proof via scientific data please. The average lifespan in ancient Egypt was about 30 years. That is one of the main reasons Ramses became known as a God, he lived to be about 90, essentially surviving 3-4 generations of the common man. hence he was regarded as "immortal". not to mention the HUGE FUCKING ERROR in your deductions. You don't account for any other variables and foolishly conclude that it is due to diet alone. You are spouting a lot of accusations but haven't provided any supporting data. Seriously, more folks at HF really need to get an education. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_was_the_average_lifespan_of_ancient_Egyptian "....the average life span was approximately 30 years of age for a poorer working man. Making it past the age of 40 was seen as a special blessing and those who did so were rewarded. Men were granted a stipend by the government consisting of grain and vegetables each year." "Women's lives were also relatively short with an average of 30 years for poor women and slightly more for women from richer families." That is just one result of a simple search. Everything else I read states that average life span then was between 25-55.
Exactly. And the worst part is that we dont even know what we're getting exposed to. Even organic food comes from soil that used to have pesticides. And we get all sorts of shit in packaging, water, electromagnetics, the air, even flame retardants on fabrics.. I also think that our medical system has a few blindspots.
http://www.nhs.uk/young-cancer-care/Pages/cancer-young-people.aspx Plus u find kids tend to get leukaemia etc. I've known a couple.. ( who survived btw)
IamnotaMan So, what did the younger 'mummies' tend to die of? Mummy Has Oldest Case of Prostate Cancer in Ancient Egypt http://news.sciencemag.org/sciencenow/2011/10/mummy-has-oldest-case-of-prostat.html For scientists studying the origins of cancer and the complex interplay of environment, diet, and genes on the prevalence of the disease, improved detection could shed new light on a disease that has plagued humanity for many thousands of years, if not longer. "And for sure there's always the hope that reaching a better understanding of the roots of cancer will help contribute in some way to a cure"
