    :(

I'm a big fan of Anthony Bourdain, both his books and his shows. He was the epitomy of cool and the world will be a little less without him here. RIP

    Also,

    1 800-273-8255

Is the number for the suicide lifeline.

In case anyone needs it .

I've watched a few of his shows, but wasn't a fan. It is terribly sad however, to hear he committed suicide. RIP :(

I recall that he was a self admitted ex heroin addict. He has been in some sort of pain for a very long time. Hopefully he now has peace.

I was a big fan as well. Sad to see him go, and even more upsetting that it was a suicide.

Not to judge, but he always seemed to be a very unhappy individual.

I hope he finds the peace and happiness in the next life that he wasn't able to find in this one.

i couldnt care less for suicides

awful shitty to leave behind an 11 year old daughter

but suicide is the new cool way to go out for celebrities apparently...one last blast of your name on the tabloids and news ..and its gets more coverage in social media than just a boring old natural death

Suicide rates are up across the board, not just with celebrities.

People need to strive to be kinder to each other and to create a more empathetic world. Its tough out there.

...and the media should stop advertising celebrity suicides

its just like reporting school shootings...feeds the copy cats and gives them strength to do stupid shit

Agreed, there actually is a lot of evidence that indicates reporting on suicide contributes to the suicide rate.

    Yeah you right

But i'm gonna try this new thing where I respond to negativity with positive words soaked in honey, i'm tired of feeling pissed off with how damn hateful people are and its making me hateful

So in response to that post, I am thankful Spiff doesnt understand what it is like to be suicidal. He is blessed in that regard

    Fucking namaste yall

  17. Lots of people probably committed suicide today. I think it's this kind of malaise with how the world is that drives people to suicide. That, like, Anthony Bourdain is a big deal but Joe Q. Drublic, who cares? It's really depressing. I don't think our society has a lot of meaning. I lumped Anthony Bourdain in with the rest of them until now. Strangely, I respect him more now.

^ thats right...you have to support suicide or else some random internet people who know nothing about your life will label you as hateful

No one celebrates and supports suicide. Some people do try to find empathy for those who are so mentally ill that suicide seems like a good option.
