Haha...oh wait, i just reread my post and it looks like I was demanding that you model ALL your tops when I really just meant that I wanted to see what one of them looked like (because I figure they're all pretty similar in the way they fit and i therefore would only need to see one). damn that's a mouthful...lol.
Great contrast fabric and a nice way to stretch out using the more expensive fabric too. I think I would prefer it with the contrasting piece, It might be a bit overwhelming in just the funky one. It also made the peace sign pop out inna huge way!
I agree with all that! It really caught my eye when i was making the lining and it looked so good with the other fabric...im still so in love with this top...i stare and it and just beam..lol..i may need a life... Awwww you said absolute berries...i may openly weep now....awww Ill get you some of that fabric...but not a lot..its too expensive!! Once again I state that Beverley's has the best fabrics!!! LOVE 'EM ok im done...carry on...
They are a craft store here..they are sadly only in Cali ...i love em..i think i may have said that..lol They just have super nice fabrics..really unusual stuff like I have never seen at Joann's.. its pricey as hell tho...i think its worth it just for the uniqueness tho..
First of all, that top is gorgeous. Nice work. Did you say you love Beverly's?! I live in Northern Cali, too, and the Beverly's in my neighborhood is run by anal-retentive Mormons. I try to shop there, but they are so freakin' rude! It's unbelievable. Yes, I'm a hippy, but I'm a hippy trying to spend money at their store. I'm not asking them to invite me into their homes. I don't want to hang out with them. Stupid cult members. The joke's on them, though. I still shop there, but I act as if I don't know that my presence bothers them. For example, I recently went to their pitiful beading section, because they didn't have the other thing I was looking for, and two women RAN into the aisle I was in. The one with the stiff, pointy, blond hair said to the other one, "I have told you before, someone MUST be in this aisle EVERY time someone's looking at the beads!" They weren't even subtle. So, fine. When I shop for beads I may have a general idea of what I might like, but I don't usually come with a list, you know. I just wanted to see if they had anything I liked. So, this nervous Mormon lady is asking me if she can help me find anything. I decided to just bore her to death. I explained cheerfully that I just like to browse, that I was looking at beads because they didn't have belt buckles, that as an artist I just look for things that inspire me. She kept nervously pushing the bags of beads all the way back on the racks, and then pulling them forward. So, I started cheerfully telling her stories about how my kids love to bead. I knew I was driving her insane, but I acted like I thought this was all just fascinating for her. I dragged it on and on. She started to sweat. HAHAHAHA. I mean, seriously, I didn't know beaders were notorious shoplifters. I'm certainly not. And I have been shopping there for years! So, now I punish them by shopping there. They are so rude to me! They treat me the same way when I buy fabric or anything else.
wow... do you make clothes to sell or are they all for personal wear? either way, that's absolutely smashing!
LMAO @ stupid cult members... that is super sucky...i can feel ya on why ya wouldnt wanna shop there.. I only love their fabric...I have 3 fabric stores to choose from around here plus a walmart but i think that Beverly's has some unqiue stuff fer sure.. My Beverley's is run by old women and really young girls...everytime i go into mine the old women are usually sweet tho it takes them 5 hours to cut my fabric..lol...If I have my kids with me this one older woman always goes on about how boys are easier to raise than girls and yada yada...She must not know she says the same exact thing to me every time..lol The young girls...are well...young girls....I dont even look at anything else there..just make a beeline to the fabrics, get what i want n Im gone...I shop more at JoAnn's in all fairness cuz I can usually get better deals there but man, some of that fabric at Bev's makes me happy... Perhaps you should come to my Beverly's! Thanks so much mama....I sell everything you see...every once in awhile I will keep a skirt but I everything usually goes straight on ebay...I dont make a lot of money but I love makin clothes...There's nothing like hearing from a super pleased customer!
oh my god!!! that is by far my favorite top!!! ugh! I wish I had money, lol that is sooooooooooooooo cute!!!
