Here's a few...and they don't include his racist actions.

• “They are not our friend, believe me,” he said. “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” (Mexicans)
• Trump said during a meeting in June that Haitians “all have AIDS.”
• Trump said that Nigerian immigrants wouldn’t ever “go back to their huts” in Africa.
• Afghanistan is a “terrorist haven.”
  
• Trump called out a Gold Star Muslim family and insinuated that the mother wasn’t talking because she was Muslim.
  “If you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me,” Trump said in an interview with ABC News in July.
  
• In May 2016, Trump said that federal judge Gonzalo Curiel couldn’t hear the Trump University case fairly because he’s Mexican. “We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, He is giving us very unfair rulings—rulings that people can’t even believe,” he said. (He's not Mexican, he's of Mexican descent))

• A book by John O’Donnell, former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, quoted Trump’s criticism of a black accountant: "Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. • The president blamed “many sides” for neo-Nazi violence last year.
  
• During the 2016 presidential election, Trump pointed to a black man and said, “Look at my African-American over there.”
  
• In opposition to a casino proposed by the St. Regis Mohawk tribe, which he saw as a financial threat to his casinos in Atlantic City, Trump secretly ran a series of ads suggesting the tribe had a "record of criminal activity [that] is well documented." (They don't)
  
• While Trump suggested that Obama wasn’t born in the US, he also argued that maybe Obama wasn’t a good enough student to have gotten into Columbia or Harvard Law School, and demanded Obama release his university transcripts. Trump claimed, "I heard he was a terrible student. Terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?"
• When asked at a 2016 Republican debate whether all 1.6 billion Muslims hate the US, Trump said, "I mean a lot of them. I mean a lot of them."
• He tweeted and later deleted an image that showed Hillary Clinton in front of a pile of money and by a Jewish Star of David that said, "Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!"

 

The shooter started out with liberal views by one account, registered as an Independent and at the time of the shooting was found to have anti government, conservative, tea party views and he believed in various conspiracy theories such as, we never went to the moon; and he was anti "globalist"..
He didn't like Gabby because women shouldn't hold positions of power and she didn't answer his question "What is government if words have no meaning?"[20] to his satisfaction.

He also disliked George W. bush.
