Because it's easier to rig the vote if both sides are neck and neck. The fact is, the system is not afraid of Trump. They put him in power to do exactly what he is doing. What they want to do is incite a civil war of sorts, and I believe in order to do this, they will need to try to impeach Trump. It's clear this will happen if the Dems win big next week.

 

I.E. Russia? I'm kidding, but the logic clearly allows for Russia to be the culprit, because weren't they supposedly the ones trying to sow discord or something like that? That's what was in the news anyway...

 

Do you think? I'm not so sure; at least, not everyone seems to think that there is enough actual wrongdoing to do articles of impeachment. He has to commit some actual crimes. Some want to wait for the Russia investigation to conclude.
