Don't let him use that as a cop out just b/c that's the way he talks doesn't make it right to do that with her, how would he feel if the shoe was on the other foot. Only problem here is since you've found that you now have a trust issue which is understandable, but if you are to continue with the relationship realize that you could easily get more mad from a lil flirtation with someone else, and you'll want to continue to search his private things. maybe you should paraphrase
instead of saying "if you still talk to her, i'm outta here"
say "it really upsets me that you still talk to her"
try to stay calm and make him stay calm
i know that's much harder said that done
