its that time of year for the Texas Renaissance Festival http://www.texrenfest.com it is a perfect place to barefoot, 56 acres of so many different textures; rocks, pebbles, cobble stones, cement and wood floors in the shops, grass, pine needles and of course dirt (mud when it rains). my feet enjoyed the rompings, my brain the shows and my stomach the FOOD !! The only comment I got today was from the gate keeper who said "welcome lady and lord and to the barefoot peasant". lady and lord were my friends who weren't barefoot, though when we go again later this month in costume they will be. If you're in the Houston area in the next month, a stop by the TRF is well worth it. bob
