You make it sound like nobody who came to the unfortunate conclusion that you seem to dismiss did look at it analytically and logically.

If a person or corporation is polluting the earth, air, or water in a way that negatively impacts the quality of life and health of animals and people, then they are the oppressors, not the ones who are trying to protect said water and air.

    Your certainty seems unfounded?
A big if indeed. Does it look to you like we're on top of things here? The reality seems there are more people who pose or believe they're doing their part in good conscience, than that there really are. Just look at the facts of pollution and you know we're not controlling shit.

Predicting next week's weather is not climatology, that's meteorology.

We would be foolish not to act on the best current scientific knowledge, otherwise we will never act as we will always be waiting for "mature" science.

Absolutely, there really is a community interest and humanity imperative here. Corporations certainly are not human beings in spite of Justice Roberts bizarre pronouncements.

Please list some example of an "emotional" argument and how that differs to your logical one.
Also what is the logical reason to lie about this? There is none since no one gains anything.

While I tend to agree with question everything I'm told it's not that I'm told of global warming it's just that well I can see it with my own eyes with the retreating ice etc.

Now maybe the earth is going through one of its natural cycles I dont know, I read a few years back that it's technically colder now than it was in the middle ages, dunno how they measure that though.

Nonetheless, winters aren't the same and I doubt all those smoke haze factory plants dumping stuff in the air is actually, surprisingly as it may seem, probably isn't all that good. The ocean reefs are dying and I can't pretend that's normal, the ocean in the longest surviving thing we have on earth, it's populace and corral life Etc and it's all dying. You got japan leaking shit all through the ocean, oil spills Etc.

Yeah im not gonna blame natural circumstances, I don't know how anybody could sit there and say that.

Many deniers will say the Earth has cycles and it gets hotter naturly. And it was colder in the middle ages. So they cite some data and don't see the difference in time. Things that cause global warming have existed for 150-200 years maybe on a level that changes things. In that time we see change that takes several millennia in their data.So things have a chance to naturally adapt or find desirable traits in the enviorment (evolution). For example some coral reefs are adapting now but most are not. Many animals and plants are doing to die and there will be an ecosystem that makes it hard for new ones to form. The problem is most plants and animals can not do this.

Some corals might adapt to climate changes: Study exposes two threatened corals to future climate change conditions

What makes you think it was colder in the middle ages? Because the movies have more snow?

  15. One of my good buddies showed a pic of a truck in india that was full of garbage being tipped into water on his social media platform.
So yes people need to get smarter.

  16. It wasn't that long ago when a shampoo company got fined for dumping their waste into a creek here in australia.
Also where there are no public toilets people have used lakes and rivers to do their business in.
So when you next go swimming watch what it is you are swimming in. It will gross you all out.

There are lakes and rivers of trash all over in developing countries.
kinda like we were here 150yrs ago, dumping whatever in the name of progress..
filling in holes the ground with trash.. Now were dealing with a local landfill under an abandoned mall, under that old steel slag full of cadmium .. If its tore down will effect 1000s, if its left alone it will effect 1000s.. Id a picture of Century 3 in Photo thread..
the whole place is a toxic wasteland and we are all comfortably living on top of it like its no big deal..

Well the “little ice age” is well documented with such widespread impacts as the demise of the Viking settlements in Greenland, the ice skating on the Dutch canals and widespread famine in Northern Europe. Many of the glaciers in the PNW and Rockies are not relics of the great Pleistocene glaciation but the little ice age instead. The long slow warming had long been established but it does not compare with the recent warming on steroids (CO2 induced).

Oh okay. Do you think the Vikings walked over to Greenland on ice?

  20. One thing that my neighbour does is leaves her computer on all the time. She shouldn't do that it can cause a fire.
What she should do is switch it off. So that it doesn't overheat.

I've seen people who smoke in their car get rid of the cigeratte butts by tossing them out the window.

Also some people love to dump their old belongings in the forrests.

    It's just plain disgusting.
As is taking a leak in the creeks and rivers. Go find a tree to do that on
