animethat.com its like the youtube for anime oh yea and its free. and if your into hentai(not really my thing but its entertaining when im drunk and horny) go to hentaithat.com
I also feel the way you do, I myself enjoy mecha anime such an Neon Genesis Evangelion or certain Gundam. one of my all time favorites was Zone of the Enders: IDOLO and the antire Z.O.E. saga.
I like dragon ball Z - I ... um ... was living in Japan when it came out, and I used to have to get home after my english class (I was teaching english) so I could watch it. The guys I was teaching (they were all like, 40 something with kids) thougt it was real hilarious, this white girl running home to watch cartoons. thier kids watched it. but it's a cool cartoon. (see I call it cartoon - not anime) then I got back from Japan* and & a few years later was amazed to find out that there were people who got together to watch anime even though they couldn't understand japanese. I knew that was one to avoid, and seeing how it all turned out I was right. creepy creepy creepy 'Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro' is the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pza7TORePnQ&feature=related *'91
I noticed some of you watching the show he suggested, Elfen Lied, so I figured I would also suggest some anime I have seen recently that I fell in love with. I would definitely recommend DBZ and Full Metal Alchemist as starters, as it easy easy to like them. Probably my favorite anime of all time is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and close behind that is Fate/Stay Night. Both of those are AMAZING shows. I would recommend staying away from S-Cry-Ed, as it just got boring, and of course Bleach is always exciting (plus they are still making it).
i've only seen two or three episodes of it, but one series that has really struck me and that i would VERY much like to see more of is serial experiments lain......the little bit i've seen already is amazing, and if i've learned anything its that i'm sure the series will only get MORE interesting and intense as it goes on.... i could see it having great potential to be every bit as good as anything i've seen thus far
I didn't hate it, which is why I still finished the anime, but it just seemed really repetitive. I also found Ryuhou and Kamina's final forms to be really stupid. On another note, my friend just finished Hunter x Hunter and said it was really good. That's just for all you who need new shows to watch.
