Sense at last, even though not intended as such.

Be more specific. Quote it, or are you afraid to look at the book?

Actually, you should hope that reincarnation is real, because that means that Christianity isn't.

That's the real reason why we should go there and convert those communists.

Yes, we can bring both democracy and Christianity to those prehistoric Pro-Magnums.

If you think those animals are in the Bible, check it out.

I don't claim to know you at all. It's not you that this is about funnily enough.

    Try 1 Samuel 18:27.

There may be many other possibilities than either Christianity or Reincarnation.

You do claim to know me.

In other words, you'd like to believe that I'm conditioned (however, you don't know me). You're presuming something and you're mistaken.

Let's broaden the passage and see who is responsible for "genital mutilation".

24 When the officers told Saul what David had said, 25 Saul replied, “Tell David, ‘The king doesn’t want any payment for the bride except 100 Philistine foreskins so that he can get revenge on his enemies.’” In this way Saul planned to have David fall into the hands of the Philistines. 26 When his officers told David this, David concluded that it was acceptable to become the king’s son-in-law. Before the time was up, 27 David and his men went out and struck down 200 Philistines. David brought the foreskins, and they counted them out for the king so that David could become the king’s son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal as his wife. 28 Saul realized that the Lord was with David and that his daughter Michal loved David. 29 Then Saul was even more afraid of David, and so Saul became David’s constant enemy.

So what the Hell is up Saul's ass? Apparently, GOD.

10 The next day an evil spirit from God seized Saul. He began to prophesy in his house while David strummed a tune on the lyre as he did every day. Now, Saul had a spear in his hand. 11 He raised the spear and thought, “I’ll nail David to the wall.” But David got away from him twice.

... I'm not sure if turning your thread into Bible study is appropriate for Random Thoughts, but then .. it's not my job to moderate. I'm just being mindful as to what's happening. ...

An evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and Saul wanted them foreskins (but was it the evil spirit from God that made Saul say it, or was it Saul's own desire?). And what purpose did it all serve? Apparently, to strengthen David over Saul.

Why chop the dicks of men? hahahahaha. Who the Hell knows?

U.S.M.C. might be able to answer that question, lmao

Except for the fact that you have a mistaken idea in your mind about me as a person of God and somebody who isn't against religion in the least bit. You have NO CLUE how I am. My only point is .. don't *presume* to know people based on prejudiced, stereotypical notions.

You seem determined to bring it back constantly to you.
I already said I don't claim to know you. I don't really have any particular idea in mind about how you are. I've only been responding to what you've said.

As you say it's not a good idea to base your view of others on prejudice or stereotyping - but isn't that exactly what you're doing here?

Man, are you being dense intentionally?

    YOUR words, not mine:
You *think* I'm "conditioned". You are mistaken. You do not know me.

If you cannot comprehend utter simplicity, that is your problem. This isn't about me, it's about your quote (which was spoken against me).

Good luck with your cat and crow argument, lmao.

    *unsubscribes from dead thread*

    Hilarious!

I thought of something I wanted to say to Bill so I came back .. but I see that a bunch of people on my IGNORE list have descended on this thread. Gee, what's up with that? There's about 7 or 8 posts after this one and every one of them is hidden.

    Quite revealing.

7 of them, to be exact.

read it again, "does not part the hoof" hoof referring to the foot and the fact that they are not "hoofs" as we know them with a split "foot" but with toes.
    ;)

I wonder how much of people's opinions concerning the Bible are based on misreading it, as you made the rollingeyes smiley indicating you think it is wrong and lame, but upon closer investigation, you simply misread it.

I actually see that a lot here at good ole HF.
    ;)

not picking on you, Karen, just using the post to illustrate something.:2thumbsup:
