I think gender roles are convoluted. Are women emotional? Are women angry? Are women rational? Are men angry? Are men emotional? Are men rational? Anyway, think about the stereotypical angry black woman, like what you see on reality shows. Is she masculine or feminine? A friend of mine thinks they're behaving in a feminine way, because they're being emotional and have the same affect as a stereotypical flamboyant gay guy. I think they're being masculine because they're being aggressive and can be violent.
And your point is? I Ind this a tad racist, am I wrong to feel that way? Could I be called a masculine white woman because of that?!
I said *stereotypical* angry black woman. I know a lot of black women aren't angry, myself including, as well as my mother, grandmother, sister, etc.
It's still a generalization, as if white women don't get angry and act similarly when they do. And as if when women who get angry and do something about it are therefore masculine and unnatractive.
Anger is an emotion as much as any other. We've all got them. They are neither masculine nor feminine exclusively.
Men and women are both emotional (as are both black and white people lol) but i think they're taught different ways of internalizing and expressing emotion
