I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind, even if they are from there, would want to live in Indiana.

but to each their own. I just couldn't ever imagine not living either near mountains or the ocean.

flat red-neck farm country just doesn't do it for me

I can't really explain it. But I just like the feeling of an Indiana small-town. I always have.

It's hard to describe to people who despise it.

well, I lived in Ohio for a year and pretty much couldn't understand why anyone would want to live there and my brief visit to Indiana left me scratching my head as well.

now, small town New England, that I can understand.

I like dirty cities more than clean ones, kind of a fetish I guess.

I kind of know where tca is coming from, although I'm not a big fan of Indiana.

Its good when people aren't pretentious, a big problem I had with the white people of the Seattle area

New England, don't really know much about it, the farthest I ever go is New York, which I love.

I dig NYC as well. Don't know if I could ever live there - just too damn expensive, but its a fun place to hang out.

That's kind of what I like about Indiana. People are modest, hard-working, and bland, but in a good way. They aren't boring, just easily amused.

heh, Indiana always appealed to me. I also like the fact that folks are crazy about basketball there.

What areas would you recommend? Oh, and I like that people seem to be passionate about a lot of things in Indy, sure beats Maine.

    I have a question:
Would you say folks in Indy keep to themselves or are they more outgoing? People here in Maine tend to keep to themselves and mind there own business. It's hard to be the new person in a community that isn't as open as other areas.

people seem to be loud here.. bunch of rednecks in certain areas though..
Like i live up in fishers and its snob town usa..its really bad, people are ignorant and rude if you look like your not living in money..ya know..
but Nobelsville is a nice place which i am moving too (thank the lord :D) and broadripple some people are really friendly there, except for them crazy kids that hang out there at night sometimes :D
but overall its pretty okay, you just really have to look into the area that you would move too.. I know i keep saying that but its just sorta hard to explain..
