An extremely difficult problem I need help with - not a 'whine' but simply a petition

That's not exactly what I meant. I think it's been demonstrated that in this case the person is not open to suggestions. Your presence is only escalating things in part because of your insistence on forcing your opinion into the discussion.

You know that your opinion is going to provoke but you force it in anyway- in a hostile manner. You've seen that your contributions provoke but you continue to force them in. I am left to assume that you're just trying to get a rise out of this user.. I'm trying to moderate without doing something drastic and you ridicule my efforts. At this point you are the biggest problem here. Please stand down. You have disqualified yourself from being a civil participant by the nature of your previous posts.

 

Why start a thread on a public internet forum asking for advice if you're not open to it? ALL of it?

This has nothing to do with sugar coating advice or enabling self destructive behavior- it has to do with piling it on after it has been shown that your participation in a discussion is causing trouble. I went out of my way to avoid doing anything drastic but you would not afford me any other option.

Your first post, without your continued provocation would have held much more credibility but when you ridiculed the attempts to keep things civil you took all credibility away from yourself as a messenger of anything positive and made yourself the focus of the discussion.

 

Anyone know what happened to etkearne? Or if he ever found a job?
