An 82-year-old woman has received a $114 ticket for taking too long to cross a street

Interesting how the rightwing thinkers of this site don't have the guts to touch this thread. And they have the nerve to put up an argument anywhere else.


The cop, typical...the old lady, unfortunate.

 

This situation appears to me to be a direct result of mandatory quotas for the cops.

As to why they don't just fix the stupid traffic light. The answer is almost certainly money. It's cheaper to pay for some Public Relations then it is to fix the light.
When the expense of PR outweighs the expense of fixing the light. Then the light will get fixed.

 

this is the cause in some cases..corruption..we need an eruption...

PR is an investment

 

is not money the city wastes millions on useless projects and officials partys and celebrations . etc etc.

That's what I'm thinking...he just sat there and watched an 82 year old woman struggle across the street with a cane and groceries just to give her a ticket when she finally made it to the other side? Why not get off his ass and help her? He should be fired. "To Protect and Serve" my ass...more like, "To Power Trip and Ticket"

 

They make more money off the tickets when the light is broken.

Ugh, don't even get me started on that show. I can't watch COPS without getting pissed off. My dad used to be a cop in one of the most dangerous counties in the United States, and HE gets pissed off when he watches the show.

Our policemen are among the most disrespectful members of our society...unless your a white dude from the suburbs.
