I'm convinced we no longer live in a country based on democracy. Capitalist and Dictatorship at best. Without money, you are nothing and if you can't be controlled, or should I say manipulated to their standards, you are unwanted. I don't blame you for the signs and decisions 1-4 make perfect sense... but there are some very outstanding American citizens that deserve respect and have many a tale to tell... other than how great they are at playing Halo or World of Warcraft. Mainly the older generation of ladies and gents. I'm American, but I partially agree with you and I don't think it's racist at all... besides, racism is the wrong word for it. It's just a biased opinion, and I wish more people could express their own "biased opinion" rather than being unbiased all the time. Racism is inevitable sometimes, whether in thought or sometimes actions. The best we can do is try to disguise it in order not to hurt the ones around us. All in all, I believe that hatred is not the answer. Love and most of all knowledge can conquer any type of dilemma. Just let people know what's up, cuz some of us "Americahnz" are blind to see what is being done behind the scenes.

I imagine there are areas near the United States where excluding Americans wouldn't hurt business... and may foster loyalty among the locals who share anti-American sentiment. Quebec comes to mind here... near where I grew up there are French speaking communities whose origins were in Quebec. There are clubs- fraternal orders where membership is contingent on not only French Canadian ancestry but also by agreeing to only speak French with other club members in and outside the club whenever the situation permits.

The rest of the world does not greet American culture with open arms- despite what the establishment here would lead us to think and not all who have come to the States are overjoyed at their relocation... especially considering how such a move might resound with friends and family back home.

 

You'll find that it isn't usually just an american thing in quebec.. this was just the trolls way of attracting attention... They have those feelings and attitudes towards anyone non-quebec...
