Americans are fat.. violent.. lazy idiots

I truly laughed out loud reading the responses on page 1. I'm not going to read the rest of the thread but I imagine more laughs would be heard by my idiotic American ears if I did.

 

you lost me at Americans sold their souls for consumer electronics...

 

I'm American.
I love shopping- but would MUCH prefer a shopping spree at a whole foods/ farmer's market/ health foods store than a walmart, target, etc.
I've never had beer, absolutely hate fast food, and only go on facebook to see what my relatives are up to.
I exercise. Love it- walking, running, biking, hiking, camping, backpacking.

There are soo many fat people here. So many lazy, greasy, slobs who eat at mcDonalds every day and do all their shopping at Walmarts, buy their groceries at supermarkets that have put bakeries out of buisness, buying GMO, inorganic, over-processed shit.
But that isn't all of us.
There are a lot of locavores here, there are soo many people who go to the gym I go to, I always see people jogging and biking outside. It isn't all of us, and I would feel really offended if you grouped me with those fat, lazy slobs just because I was born in the states.
I am not one of them. We are not all the same...so don't make it seem like we are

I don't watch TV, shop anywhere but secondhand stores, buy local food, I despise fastfood, and don't even own a couch.

to observe this issue in its proper perspective, one must place it in it's correct context. it has nothing to do with nationality, but rather with economic class. our connection is with the working class.we have more in common with workers from other nations than with the ruling class of our own. so the main issue here is connect with the oppressed in other lands because, after all, we have oppressed masses here in the u.s. as well. so please, think people, not nations. diggy.
