If you have not treated yourself to American Splendor (2003) then you should. It's a comedy-drama that has a 7.4 on IMDB so you know somebody liked it. It's about the late, great Harvey Pekar who was a file clerk who made comic books about his life with a little initial help from his friend Robert Crumb (yes, that Robert Crumb!). Due to his influence, I have become a fan of pickled okra. That's another story. You'll have to read the comic. Harvey had his faults, but his passion for jazz music and good books is contagious, and many of his coworkers were immortalized in his comic book. He wrote about regular folks and showed how unique and interesting they really are. American Splendor (2003) - IMDb
