American Idol is the worst show EVER!

haha I saw that one....... that was from the st louis auditions.

watch thursday night, they will have the worst moments of american idol, with people singing like crap....... it will be fun!

 

I'm watching the worst performances. It's pretty entertaining tonight....

 

I love this thread!!! AI is the worst possible way to spend your time. I would much rather sit in dead silence for an hour.

FNA is not overreacting at all. Just imagine how things could change if people diverted their American Idol time to reading a book or catching up on the news (and I'm talking about real news, not the goddam Michael Jackson trial).

I actually feel sorry for the people who take this show seriously.

 

I don't think many people take it "seriously." It's mind candy. Not meant to be taken seriously.

 

Okay, let me rephrase that. I feel sorry for those who actually believe that contestants on American Idol are talented and in fact should be idolized.

And I would have a hard time calling this show "mind candy." More like mind torture...

 

It is a personal choice. You are right, I doubt the contestants, even the winners really have any chance at a real music career. And I hate the word "Idol" too Biblical for me. LOL!

Yup, it blows, but apparently alot of people don't agree, and if they want to watch it, good for them...

I dont watch that crap. Hell i rather watch Christopher Lowells.

 

Quite frankly, I feel sorry for the poor people who humiliate themselves in the first few episodes. I just can't bear to watch any more people do that.

The style of music on that show really bothers me. It sounds more like a contest who can hold the note the longest.

My other complaint is that you can't watch TV or listen to the radio or open a newspaper or magazine and not hear about the show. Folks, it's not real news. It's just a TV show.

 

they report american idol results on the local news here. and survivor too.. there was this big hullaballoo about it one season cuz there was a contestant from somewhere relatively close to here.. I dont remember who it was and i dont fuckin care.

 

They probably figure that if viewers see the results of the shows on the news, the viewers will see the shows as important and be more inclined to watch them. It's a cycle, I guess, that the networks probably use to simply get more people to watch their crap.

 

i cant stand american idol. my whole family watches it and i just find it annoying. and i have never been able to see why so many people were addicted to Survivor (also a show my whole family but me watchs). i think thats probably one of the worst ones.

 

actually to put it frankly....i just dont like reality tv shows.

 

Simon Cowells mad, hes so funny its unbelieveable but i will say somin the american idol isnt half as good as X factor!
