i'm not saying i know what every artist is feeling...i'm just saying that they're all so transparent it's easy to see that they're just doing it for money...

take the band "default" for example. don't know why, but they popped in my head first. how emotional can you really be, when you're writing a song that's such an obvious rip off of a nickelback song...so much so, that the ass from the band HELPS you write it!!!! that pansy helped write most of their album, yet they have soooooo much emotion.

when chad kroeger first met default, i bet he had dollar signs in his eyes...

 

There's one. And Default hasnt even released an album since 03.

But i'm not talking about music that other people write for them. I'm talking about music that the artist writes themselves.

Whoa, I never said they sold out just because they talked about politics, Its just the whole sound is different. Im not saying that if u like American Idiot that your wrong or anything, I just preffered the fun loving, immature greenday. If I want something meaningful or deep ill listen to The Doors or Zeppelin. I was just pissed because greenday seems to be entering into this whole emo thing and losing their fun. Hell some of the songs on the CD I like! Boulevard of Broken Dreams is enough to make me puke out my earholes though.

 

I totally agree. When I was younger, they used to be my favorite band, now they've just gone sour. Think theyre trying to be too much like the other new punk bands. (like the eye-shadow thing)
