If Clinton had won and started proclaiming to make America great I would have said the same thing about her. She had a dangerous policy slant on the Middle East as well, supporting a no-fly zone in Syria in direct confrontation with Russia. Trump took it to the max, suggesting turning the Middle East to glass. Neither candidate were going to bring peace on earth for sure. But "making America great" is a pure bullshit phrase based on the delusion of the American Dream. It attracts gullible voters to your cause, who you then proceed to dump on from a great height once you're in power.

 

Well at least Melanoma will be a more fashionable first lady than Bill.

Yeah it really reminds me of the "hope and change" slogan.
It really is meaningless in what will be done.
It differs from Obamas slogan though because America is already pretty great.

 

Looks like the millennials will need to spend some time in thier safe place.

Yah, I wasn't rooting for Trump but I gotta say, this sort of arrogance and immaturity seemed much more prevalent amongst Hillary supporters than Trump Supporters in this region. You and I live in a Blue state, so naturally a higher population of Dems and more exposure to this, but I got the impression of a lot of condescension and self-righteousness of Clinton campaigners, I had a feeling they would not be graceful in defeat and there would be this kind of infantile backlash.

 

Illegals generally force wages down below the levels where citizens can afford to work. This increases the local population living on welfare, and leads to rising taxes and crime rates.

It's happening in western countries across the world. Cheap labour only helps make money for the dishonest fat cats who employ them.

Illegals are a scapegoat, i guess its too difficult for some to see that businessmen/women LIKE TRUMP care only about profit and the bottom line and would rather pay an illegal immigrant under the table tthan pay an American $15 bucks an hour

Trump understands better than most why illegals come here because he understands why businesses employ them . Its sad so many believe he'll actually do anything that will interfere with his business buddies' bottom line.

 

Hopefully there are some long term goods that come out of this.

I foresee the GOP being forced to abandoned the neocon legacy established by W and big government policies they stood for.
