I think you have to know a lot of hillbillies to understand king of the hill, I have met more than one dale gribble, knowing that there are people out there who have said those phrases and picturing them in those situations is just absurdly hilarious, of course if you don't know people of that sort you don't have that context,



it doesn't have the everyman appeal of simpsons....... or southpark or other anytown usa shows, you have to know hicks\hillbillies......

see that's why, it's good for those of us from hillbilly stock with relatives who think the south will rise again, for rational people though, it's just another show, it doesn't make sense because you don't know those people......
