Am I the only one alive who doesn't drink?

Everyone needs a little inhibitor once in a while.

 

i have had some drinks, but ive never been drunk. never really had the urge to do it. i wanna try lsd much more. which isnt as common with teenagers. most like to drink alot. i decided i wanted to try it once to i downed to shots of vodka (nasty shit) but diddnt feel anything at all while my friend was saying he was pretty buzzed. i dont know if he was lying or not. but its not as appealing as weed.

 

i've done my bit of drinking, and personally i hate most of its effects... i don't really like losing control of my own actions and compulsions. the ol' ganja is much better IMO... and i'm looking at more psychadelic stuff anyways.

 

Damn, I drink beer every night, I love it. Beer and Whiskey aaaaaaahhhhh my favorite drug in the world. Of course it takes a strong tolerance to be able to really enjoy it, I've been building up mine since I was 12. Although during the past year, I find myself gettting a little too buzzed on weekends after 7-8 gulps of Tullamore Dew, probably should just space out the hits on the bottle though. But beer? I could drink it all day and all night and be fine.

 

I am teh slutz0rs i miss getting watsed at parties i haven't been able to get fucked up and totally enjoty myself in so long. Drinking is bad for you, but it always seems to lively up things rofl.

 

Alcohol tastes awful to me, but the effect is good. A few drinks are mood-enhancing, but too much brings you down and can give you a hangover.

It's cool to drink on occasion, though, and I have enjoyed going to a club with a girl and drinking lots of beer together.

 

I don't drink anymore, I did a lot during the summer though.
I don't because I hate the taste, I hate the way people act when they drunk (some aren't bad), my dad is an alcoholic so I've seen what alcohol does to family's (and not just my own family), plus I may have an ulcer and would rather get baked.

 

yeah, alcohol is all pretty nasty... i have to admit that drinking it was definetely the shitty side of getting drunk for me. the drunkness was always kind of offset by the annoyance of taste.

anyone here ever do a Century (100 shots of beer in 100 minutes, one a minute)?

i dont drink any more, i only did the normal "ooh its so exciting to drink" kind of thing when i was younger, but i love the taste of (woodstock) bourbon and cola so if i ever get offered one, ill gladly drink it just for the taste. i dont mind getting to the point where i can feel it but i dont get drunk ever any more because egos get too expanded more than they already are.

Drinking in U.K has become a phenomena - in March 2006 it's reported that in teenage kids,the girls are drinking alot more than the boys - 3 litre bottles of strong cider per girl on a friday night.They work it out in units now - like metric - but statistically - its higher than ever.

I began on the same ratio - but it was the boys - hangin out with all the guys - and girls - (15 years ago - U.K) - girl rockers sat in groups - seperate to boys.Just before club opening time we'd all seek each other out - then a total mix of extra chemicals were produced - ecstasy - speed - spliff,glue,petrol and SEX

No-one I knew died - some of the goth's had friends duyin round them all the time - and thats all they talked about - though everyone I knew was kikkin stuff as far as they could go,and heart-warmingly enough listening to bands like Led Zep,ACDC,METALLICA,DEEP PURPLE,BLACK SABBATH - come on you know this shit - this was 1990 - (or am I old ) - the revival (UK anyway)

Then - when it got to job/money seeking age - unfortunately motivated by the urge to 'earn your own shit' - we got jobs - but only cos - you had to defend your right to get hammered - from your family - and evryone I knew their parents were single - notions of education were purely coincidental

So - now - you meet the likes of me - I'm 33 and my father is 67 - he can still drink quicker than me - but he was born in post-war Britain - then - you could get apprenticeships and learn a trade - the family buisness died last year when he retired - I'm a piano player/singer - my brother is a graphic designer - we are both computer nerds.My sister - a opera singer - but now a teacher(and a lesbian)Today half the trades that my dad knew are defunct.Builders are huge firms with law abiding rules (!).In my Dads day - you just built it - no matter how - if it was made - he was paid and that incuded cathedral spires n graves - they were hard drinkin craftsmen.

Now - theres no trust - we have to fill out a million forms just to put a sign up saying 'Men - At Work' - and there is no room for characters who will fuck that extra mile cos they may have had a pint or two the night before and feel like taking a shortcut - e.g. walking up the scaffolding like a red indian...

Well I for one love a spliff - but what fucks me off - is the dealers I've met - sorry UK but so far the have all been COCKNEY WANKER FUCKIN **** LICKER LIARS
and will shag your girlfriend then you.
However - I sometimes make friends with people who know how to deal with the forementioned bullshitters and then it happens - we sit around - we have a bizzarre but more personal night.(if I'm involved everyone usually goes to bed early - I talk bullshit in reality as well as when I'm drunk OR stoned) - but what I love about U.K (hey I'm getting nationalistic) is that in the rural places - they still roll round cheeses down a hill and all the men chase it - pissed - and alot of money is spent on this stupid gamble.DRUGS - a spliff etc I love in Britain when it's done like a hippy - I can't stand urban dopouts seeing it as a way to be cool.

Mines a pint of SAS - I only learn't this last week - half a lager - half a cider - and an infusion of blackcurrant - all in a pint - it fairs ye well,landlubbers!!

bout girls drinkin more then guys now, ive noticed that round my school... the girls get really wasted every weekend, and the guys get wasted bout once a month

i basicallly dont drink at all, like ive been drunk 2 times in the last year... i stick to bud

this sounds really sexist (and forgive me for it if its not true all around, i know around my school it is) but teen girls are generally ignorant to how bud isnt that bad for u, and alcohol is horrible for somebody, and most teen girls (at least round my area, with some exceptions) are obsessed with how people think of them, and none of them want to have people think they are a "druggie"

 

both boys and girls are like that in my school, the main drugs would be the social type ones, and no one knows shit about any drug at all, the shit you hear supposedly drug-wise people say about certain drugs, its so fucking stupid.

i know about three people you could call "stoners" in my school, me, and two of my friends, and we dont even smoke much, just like twice a week, yet everyone expects me to be dumber than them, in my health classes the teachers will make up bullshit about bud and psychedelics, and when i correct them, people will say "yeah, youd know wouldnt you, junkie!" yes, of course id know about bud, just like theyd know about hugging the toilet bowl every weekend, but apparently IM the one that is hurting myself.

 

Yea, but fuck em, you know your on the right side although beer is my choice over weed, dont know why and wish it wasnt so, but I think latley smoking just makes me paranoid becuase I'm still getting used to adapting to having a baby. Like when I smoke I get all worried about him, even though theres no reason too, but when i drink, i dont get drunk, just a few beers to help chill after work, and it helps.

 

I don't drink either, never have. I just hold my girlfriends hair back while they're throwing up in the toilet.

yea i did weed first.. loved the high and then was like well havnt ever been wasted so might as well try it... got wasted it was fun till my friend pissed all over my hdtv and my parents came down cuz we were being loud. They didnt realize we were drunk but they were still pissed. i cleaned up the tv and then fell asleep. My hangover wasnt that bad but still... high is like 20 times better and no hangover... and its not as bad for u as alcohol...

 

no....i raaaaarely drink...like maybe twice a year, im usaully designated driver...well more like stoned driver, but same difference, I've done/ do most drugs I've ever heard of, but im not too faund of drinking, cuz its makes you act stupid, and its jsut not very enjoyable for me....plus I have alcoholics in my family back centuries, so that might have somthing to do with it, or maybe that i dont talk to my father because of somthing that happend when he was highly drunk.....who knows....

 

For me, i used alcohol as a way of enjoying myself, i am very good with people and metting people, that doesnt bother me. I just couldn't lose some of my inihibitions to let go and have some fun. I love loud music playing in a club enjoying some drinks etc. Last time i did that was 3 years ago. I started smoking pot and for me that was preferred to the nasty after feelings of alcohol so i stick to that now.

I also cannot find a drink i actually like the taste of either and i prefer not to force things down my throat just for the sake of getting drunmk if it tastes fowl to me. Thats just me though.
