You should work, first and foremost, on your ability to speak freely and easily with anyone you would call your "girlfriend."

Have you ever been masturbating, say, to a picture you found extremely erotic, and then the moment you ejaculate, you suddenly have no lust in you whatsoever? And masturbating is now the furthest thing from your mind? I think there is something in our physiology, some trigger, that happens right after orgasm. I've felt it. The big reason I can keep going is often that psychologically I just overwhelm that feeling, and still want to be turned-on. Having a girl right there is a big help in continuing to do sexual stuff, and overcome that "no more sex" feeling that floods in after orgasm.

So I think that would explain a lot of the guys who "roll over and go to sleep" right after sex. They have made it a cliche, it's so common. Then there are those of us who want to stay at it and keep kissing, licking, sucking and fucking. :D

I think that there are plenty of women who would be just as happy if sex had nothing to do with the male ejaculate (semen). Plenty of women like it, but just as plenty can't stand it, and are grossed out by it. Of course, it's a necessary evil if the couple wants a baby, though. I think that many women probably just deal with it the way you deal with cleaning up your cat's puke: you do it, and while you do it, you try not to think about it. (Of this, I am referring to letting a guy's semen drip back out of her. It's distasteful, but sometimes has to be done.)

I think that for the same reason many women would do without semen, they would find the idea of it being churned up into a froth inside them kinda distasteful.

As I said, I think it's the biological trigger -- the same one that causes most men's erections to subside immediately following orgasm -- that makes them suddenly find themselves without any libido there, no sexual thoughts or desires, at least until some time has gone by.
