I don't care. Your agenda is quite clear. It's the agenda that all
psuedo-progressive elitists have: You want significant changes
in the world but you don't want to change your own lifestyle
    significantly.

Therefore all of your supposed solutions, like alternative energy,
reducing greenhouse gasses, and recycling, if implemented
to the max, wouldn't change anything at all.

Except that you'd make a lot of money investing in the
Earth-raping enterprises that implemented them. And
get a cushy job out of it.

Been dealing with phonies like you all of my life.

Don't worry. There is a real environmental movement
out here. You'll never get near it because you'd discover
that we are actually doing something to save the planet
and that they would, of necessity, interfere with your
material dreams. So you'd become an informant for
    the FBI.

You reek of hypocrisy. Like signing your messages with "peace
and love" and attacking and insulting me at every opportunity.

You are neither a hippy nor an environmentalist.

The word that I think most effectively describes you is
a noun used to refer to female canines.

What proof do you have to claim that every organism, prokaryote and eukaryote alike, are endangered?

What? Are you waiting for a reaction? If anything, slinging insults is a sign of nothing to substantiate your view.

hear it is the criteria says numbers, rate of decline, rate of HABITAT destruction, can you honestly say that the rate of habitat destruction woul not put all speicies in danger? the thread was about endangerd wasnt it? there have been many that have been and recoverd! doesnt mean they will become extinct, just that we and every outher is IN DANGER!!!

I don't hope that life will continue. Life, since 3.5 billion years ago, has proved that it will survive the most harsh environments and unlikely places. There is life within the hot springs in Yellowstone, and there is life in the deepest of caves, and there is life florishing in the mid-oceanic ridges and "black smokers." How are humans going to affect these organisms? Quite simply, nothing humans can do will affect these species. They will continue to live, whether humans are present or not.

By the way, I'm not using any criteria the government uses. My basis is geobiology, which says that there is always extinction occuring. I have never contradicted that. Yes, there may be many species that go extinct in the span of human history, but there has NEVER been a mass extinction of EVERY living organism. I base my opinion on science that has overwhelming evidence, rather than the beliefs of people who have little education in the field of biology.

People have 2 choices: either educate yourselves with FACTS and EVIDENCE or the opinons of people who are ignorant on the subject. Personally, my money lies with the people who dedicate their lives to studying mass extinction and the geologic history of life.

    Peace and love

Because not all habitat of species is being destroyed.

First I want to ask this question: how are you defining "species"? Are you refering to just animals? Plants and animals? Fungus? Or even larger scale, prokaryotes and eukaryotes? When I say "species" I mean all life, both pro- and eukaryotes.

I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to Littlefoot calling me a bitch, hypocrite, and other things. You posted while I was typing my response, so the post is out of order. I'll edit it and make it clear who I was referring to.

    Peace and love

The Earth IS a living organism and we live IN it.

That psuedo-hippy chick is one of the victims of an education
    provided by the corporations.

She actually thinks that nothing is true or real unless a bunch
of geeks with degrees have studied it and written peer-reviewed
    articles about it.

So the Earth can't be a living organism because those geeks
haven't decided that it is or isn't.

    Wrong.

If we wait for the scientists to save the planet, it is going to die.
Almost every one of them is in the pockets of the corporations.
How could they not be? The corporations fund the schools,
own the publishing companies that produce educational
materials, and make all their equipment.

All they do is 'discover' technological 'solutions' because technology
is what makes jobs and investment income. Which, coincidentally
of course, is just what their corporate masters are interested in
    above everything else.

I am using her to make some important points. Hopefully, during
the process she will get a handle on thinking for herself rather
than regurgitating information she memorized from some
corporate-sponsored institution that fears real environmentalism
far more than it does terrorists.

She needs to learn that just because a bunch of people believe
something to be true doesn't necessarily make it true.
No matter how sincerely they believe it and no matter
how many of them there are that believe it.

It isn't people that lie to you that are the problem. It
is people who sincerely believe falsehoods that are
    the problem.
