A wonderful sentiment my dear departed Dad would approve of. His ashes are inside one of these Pusser's Rum bottles. In the columbarium of All Saints Cathedral in Alexandria, Virginia. He loved Rum. I would like a bottle of this for Christmas!
I have collected a Coke cola ornament nearly every year for 20+ years--- don't have one on the tree this year because the "girls" wanted a blue & silver tree ........... i have about 5-6 coke cola cookie jars too
what i really truly want for Christmas is soooooo simple, yet most likely will never happen...i just want my family to get along--- everyone to have a good day, no arguing, no pouting nobody saying "you ruined Christmas just like every holiday"
I would like to see much much less commercialism of Christmas and more on the true meaning . To much emphasis on material objects like presents is taking over and its not what Christmas should be about . An anti Commercialism of Christmas song be Greg Lake . Went to no2 in the UK charts only kept off by Queens Bohiemian Rhapsody . Arguably one of the finest rock songs ever .
If that geodesic dome could be made out of Carbon Nanotubes it would be virtually indestructible and Buckminster Fullerenes dream would come full circle (Yes, both puns intended) ..lol..
what i can see through the glass looks like the village library. at any rate i love the idea, except it somewhat limited freedom of form, but it sure looked better then rectangles. people should be encouraged to build strange shapes and forms, instead of being all but forbidden to. of course where doing so is zoned for, they would need to be limited in size and of a required safe distance between them. i still have my dog eared and disintigrating copy of the book shelter, and back it the day had the entire sequence of dome books and of course whole earth catalogues.
I am quite interested in learning a bit about those 3 books mate. I tried googling them but I cant be sure if we're on the same pages. Pun intended.
you might be able to find them on e-bay or some similar place where people resell old books they want to get rid of. maybe even amazon and almost certainly powels city of books in portland oregon.
the true meaning of "christmas"/midwinter's eve, is: we made it this far through the leanest part of the year (or the hottest if you're in the southern hemisphere); lets eat. (and of course appreciating whatever spirit, belief, concepts you have in your own heart and mind)
