LSD will never ever put you in the hospital unless you act in such a way on it that someone would take you to the hospital, so unless you have a family history of schizophrenia or something you will be fine. You also won't hallucinate, ever, on LSD. This is a myth. Your visual field will change but at best there will be just subtle tricks of the mind and things, not full blown visual scenes or situations that do not exist. The visual aspect of LSD is about 1% the experience, the rest of it is all your other senses, and your mind. That's where the real trip is, with your thoughts, not your senses. MDMA is like a purely emotional psychedelic, it's definitely worth taking and could change your life as much as LSD, but if you had to do just one I'd say do the LSD, as MDMA is at least a million times easier to find out there. Have lots of stuff to do, you're gonna be very, very, very high for 8-12 hours, have more than just fantasia around to do as an option. You might not even want to continue watching it once effects start, you might, you might forget it's even playing etc. Have access to outdoors, music, maybe some art supplies, books with big nice photos/art, and your best friend for convo and company as you take this journey. Should be fine, lots of people try LSD before they even try pot, maybe not these days but in the 60s and 70s definitely. But again I must stress, as someone who also took LSD to "see cool things", that it is nothing like that. Oh, you'll see things alright, just not in the way you could have imagined.
it worked out great for me my first time with it, and i actually had very little info about it before taking. my friends just said it would make me laugh alot, and that it did. i was one of those cases too where i didn't smoke weed regularely yet, and had none the first few times i had lsd. i usually choose a somewhat controlled environment to trip in, but i've only done two at a time max which i'm guessing were average strength.
yea i was about to have to completely disagree with mr writer on the visual hallucinations, I'm suprised you even said that, slight changes in the visual field? i have seen massive wormholes rip open the sky
I had my first highly visual LSD experience this saturday off 1/3 a hit. Yeah, wormholes, entire scenes, entire realities behind closed eyelids, fantastic psychedelic fireworks with open eyes, morphing, waving, rippling . . . but really i take back what i said because synesthesia is such a large component of the LSD experience, and so many things can be called "visuals" during that state, and you can experience quite the array of visual or extra-visual phenomena, i mean once you're at the point where you're not sure where your vision ends and your hearing begins, or where your vision ends and your mood begins, etc. So I take back saying you won't ever hallucinate on LSD, but I add that "visuals" is a very poor term for what is really happening, it's more like full sense-field and being distortions.
What I have experienced aren't actual hallucinations, seeing something that isn't there at all, but rather an alteration of what is there, sometimes to the point verging on hallucination, but still instigated by some real object. Seeing cartoon characters come off the TV and run around the room for instance. It was a fantastic sight for sure, but in actuality it was just that my perceptions did not constrain the visual input and "allowed" it to "fudge" the parameters in which it occurred. But on the other I have also seen very intricate patterns that I could not correlate to any stimulus in my environment. One that stands out was seeing a pink ribbon with white roses etched into the wood of a pool table. It looked very nice and completely went around the pool tables side. It didn't move or "wave" it just looked like decoration. Problem is the next day it wasn't there , and there were no markings that could have been transformed in my mind into what I saw. So I guess I'm still unsure about this point. But most often it is just a morphing or misrepresentation of what is actually present in your environment. At least that is what I usually notice.
Having never experimented with any substance besides alcohol, would it be too drastic to try LSD first?
No, tons of people do it that way and have done it that way in the past. If you have access to cannabis maybe try that first as a natural intro course to the fundamentals of psychedelic states of mind, if not, just start with a very low dose of it. Do not do it if you have a recent family history of schizophrenia or bipolar or anything like that. There is no way LSD is not going to be drastic though man It will blow the lid off the reality you think you know.
Thiiiis for sure, it completely changes everything you knew, I myself have never seen the world the same, it's actually hard to remember exactly how I used to view the world
Hey guys! I wonder if lsd causes big hangovers and unpleasant side effects... And if so, what are they and how long does it last... ?
Sup guys, just had a few questions. I'v been reading up on this forum and everyone says that LSD changed their perspective on life. How is this, and was it a good or bad thing? Iv been smoking weed for 2 years now, and i'v tried triple c's once, but thats about it. Is this too big of a step for me to take? should i try something else first? Also im a pretty shy guy but i feel like ever since i start smoking iv been changing as a person, being more talkative but im still not where i want to be. This could be either because of smoking or just me maturing. I'm not saying im considering doing LSD because of this but would it help my personal development? Any help would be great, thanks!
It would definitely give you some insight and perspective, the change is up to you though, to live what is revealed to you. lsd has pretty mild side effects, might get a touch of nausea, sweating, stiff jaw. there's no hangover though you might be a bit 'out of it' for some time following a big trip, especially your first
thanks for the reply. also im really serious about education and sports. would this effect me in any way in either of these things? if so would it be positive or negative?
Acid will not change who you are. Only you can do that. Acid will magnify who you are; you will most likely see even more of what you already see in sports and education. Or maybe not. That's your trip to take there's no way to know these things beforehand. you just have to take a chance and open pandora's box.
One more question, iv heard that acid makes you over think things when you start doing it. not only when your tripping but when your sober too. is this true?
i wouldn't use the term "overthink" because that implies it is a malignant increase in thinking. i would say it is simply an increase in thought activity, you will learn very very much during your trip whether you understand it or not.
Yes, for some people I think this is especially true and I happen to be one of them. LSD and other psychs cause me to second guess and get lost in my head more sober. It can feast on your insecurities and assuredness. I enjoy being able to approach a situation with a 2nd or 3rd way to view it but it does get frustrating at times not just being able to follow through on an initial thought.
