This reminds me of Stargate a little bit. I enjoy it. ;)

Appreciated :) I understand why the rib is connected also by modern science to this (but just like you can't adequately reproduce it now from scratch) and why its fascinating they used it, but its good to hear it again.

Mercury seems to be identified as Enki at times by the sumerians. But besides that Enki is also portrayed as an ocean or sea (typical mythological portrayal). We can't dismiss all these mythological aspects in these stories.

Yes, and I'm nitpicking and said the word knowing is technically incorrect.

I can not argue with your logic. Ra will always be a God to me because photosynthesis is so important to all life on Earth. Thor will always be a God to me because thunder is so important to weather and that is also important to all life on Earth. I see it as a marriage between Ra and Thor.

Not everything, as some parts are clearly in mythological context. Enki is a mythological/astral sea as well as a goddess/high placed alien.

In theory/a way, yes. But not in the literal sense.

If ice is water and water is sea, then aren't the rings of Saturn theoretically an astral sea?

    And Enki was male :p

They have more in common with the babylonian gods. But yes, it makes sense the whole region influenced eachother over the centuries
They propose the missing link as the likeliest solution. What have historians and scientists hidden exactly? How? And with what motive? What exactly convinced you of this? Hope you clarify :)

I agree. Thor is waiting for Ra over there.

Yes, no argument that it makes sense in a mythological context. The point is he is either a mythological God identified with a planet and a primordial sea OR a space travelling alien. Being both conflicts with the idea he was a space travelling alien that came to earth and forged human slaves.
I stand corrected :p I must have confused him with Tiamat for a sec

Not anymore than calling shits "gods" because they cleans out the system and allow life to function.

While the Sumerian may have associated planets with gods I never read about them in that sense other than cosmological happenings, which makes sense too because the number 12 is very significant in Sumerian mythology. 12 gods. 12 planets.

I'm actually coming from a different direction and trying to obtain substantial reasonings and clarification as to why celestial bodies were depicted as they were. You're just sounding like I do in every other science and political thread.

Oh are you considering that the Annunaki might actually have been the personification of astronomical events?

Chemistry was used in creating us. I think that Irminsul respects that as much as I do.

Life was created by something that is capable of creating life. It creates life. Does it stop after Earth? Was Earth first? This makes Earth seem like a very magical place.

Possibly. We can already establish the Romans and Greeks did the same as well as Sth American culture, Asmo is indicating that the Babylonians did the same.

I know that in the Sumerian cosmology creation the planets were referred to as gods, but I don't think I've read anything that said when the flesh and bone gods of the Anunnaki came to earth they were depicted as any of the planets. The names of the celestial creation gods (planets) were also different to the names of the Anunnaki gods who ruled over humans on earth. But like I say, that doesn't surprise me as the number 12 is very significant. 12 planets 12 gods.

    Mercury
    Venus
    Earth
    Moon
    Mars
    Tiamit
    Jupitor
    Saturn
    Urnanus
    Neptune
    Pluto
    Nibiru

The Sumerian attributed the moon as a planetary body. If I recall, Kingu was the gods name. It was formed after Nibiru and Tiamat collided between Mars and jupitor. The blood of Kingu was the debris that formed our moon.
