You don't get me? Haha :D Anyway I thought that the Alien vs Predator would have had one of them in it but instead that had no one. i don't understand the logic behind that.

Having the chick fall for predator was not a sign of quality thinking in the script room. It must have been a bloody slow day.

Liked the Alien films - Alien II was the best by far. Liked both the Predator films not as much as the Aliens but good. Alien v Predator was the worst SF film I have ever seen. I could rant for pages about what all was wrong with it. You life is not long enough for you to spend your time watching that film if you have not already done so.

haha like it! though not sure she was in love, more of a mutual respect for a common enemy, maybe i'm reading too much into this!

I agree with you Alien 2 was the best and it really challenged the 'sequals are never better' theory, shame the other two didn't challenge it too.
did anyone notice that in Alien vrs Pred the aliens seemed to come out of the victims stomachs quickly, I'm sure it took a few hours in the first two movies.
also was it ever explained, how the Aliens make babies, do the male alien inpregnate the female then she lays eggs, a small Alien comes out of the egg attaches its self to a humans face, lays eggs down their throat, then the real Alien comes out???????? that sounds kinda complex to me no wonder they are always in such a bad mood

Alien 3 with the lice planet was crap. They should've stopped after the second one, the concept was no longer a novelty.

The quickness of the abdominal growth was one of the many problems of A vs. P that and how the Aliens got by in that dome for all that time. I always had the feeling during the first three alien films that there was a male larking in the wings somewhere. We had the queen and the worker/fighters but something to impregnate the queen was missing. I kept waiting for a "you think the queen is bad ass - take a look at THIS" but alas the moment never came.

Both Predator movies were enjoyable if not great. The first two Alien movies are fucking incredible. But lets face it, after Bill Paxton (in his most awesomness role) died, the series went to shit. Never should have killed him off.

I LOVE the first Predator movie. The second, not so good, but I like the Predator so much I let that slide. I hadn't seen ANY Alien movies until a few months before the AVP movie hit theaters. I borrowed the Ultimate 10 disk Aleins set from a co-worker and we watched them all over a weekend. I liked the action in the second one. The third was absolutely horrible, but I blame that on the budget cuts. The other two, I was indifferent about. Just not as good as I had hoped in my opinion.

After seeing Alien vs. Predator, I was impressed. I expected it to totally suck, but I thought it was good enough to own.

I think The Predator species is my favorite movie "character"... I just LOVE the concept behind the species.

The Alien species to me is more about survival of a species... whereas I see the Predator species as being a more intelligent species. I guess I relate the Predators to Humans, and Aliens to more of an anamalistic species.

And to the Arnold haters out there. The ONLY film I own on DVD with Arnold in it is Predator. I typically am not an Arnold fan. I never even liked the Terminator series. But I still LOVE Predator.

Now I want to watch Predator.

The Ridley Scott film Alien is an incredible achievement: powerful, stunning and detailed and incredibly atmospheric to look at. Scott is a visual genius. Extraordinary filmmaker, and films like Alien and Blade Runner stand up to anything produced today, with all the modern tools.

This other film you mention, Predator, in my opinion does not even belong in the same thread.

Nor do any of the sequels to Alien.

Best of luck to the poster though, and I intend no harm or offense. Thank you for the opportunity to express this. Enjoy!

I'm a huge fan of the 'Alien' franchise, but not so much the 'Predator' series. I read a copy of the original screenplay for AVP and it's totally different from the movie that eventually got made. I can only theorize that it was abandoned because of budget constraints, because the script I read took place on another planet. I do own AVP, because a fellow sci-fi buff recommended it to me, and I bought it sight unseen. I wasn't disappointed...

I enjoyed Alien, Aliens, and Alien Resurrection. I didn't like Aliens 3. Predator 1 was great, but the sequel was rather lousy.

As for Aliens Vs. Predator, I LOVED it. I thought it was an excellent film. Can't understand why so many people disliked it.

But then again, I usually like the movies most people hate and hate the movies that most people like.
