Alexa keeps mishearing

When I say my wife's name (Steph) she gets it right most times but when I say "Steph's" she hears "steps" almost every time. Not sure if I should over enunciate the f sound until she gets it although that's not how I normally talk. She should learn how I say it rather than me pandering to her.
Any tips would be appreciated.

 

Send it back to the NSA ,tell them their intelligence gathering device has a malfunction.
