Well I thought we should have like a music review thread because many of us are into the same types of music etc. and I don't fully trust mainstream reviews that push for purchase. So, we can do new albums or old albums and vinyls.

Steve Earle & The Dukes - Terraplane

Review: Well it took me a while to buy this and to listen to it because it was meant to be a "Jazz" sounding cd and I'm not the greatest Jazz fan. I saw it on vinyl at the music store and I'm a big Earle fan and wouldn't pass it up to add to my collection anyway.

I was a fan only a few seconds into the album. It was jazzed up like mentioned, but it was still individually Steve's sound and I was very appreciative of this. He also managed to include his raw and rugged lyrics and incorporate them into his own Jazz sound. Though I do believe the elements of country sound are missing from this album, others will no doubt like the concept of fusing country and Jazz together. Honestly, it works terrifically. :)
