they'd cut your head off with a rusty spoon

yep seamonster your right they would ,if I had a choice between their agenda and say neo-cons or whoever else I think Id choose neo cons .

Ive had conversations with people who support these type of groups who believe in bringing back slavery in fact from their point of view slavery as never stoped as mohammed kept slaves ,therefore there is nothing wrong with it .

any far right christian reactionary is nothing compared to these guys , its a bit like talking to a nazi but in the 1930s, they have a incredible amount of hate and they are really certain they are right ..thats why they are so dangerous .

yes, I feel quite content in opposition to their fundamentalist terror agenda, even though some people might not think I'm cool for doing so

BBC isn't nearly as tabloid as Fox and the rest. The national video news outlets in the U.S. have changed greatly in the past 5 years. The national media used to be critical of the White House but it has gone quiet since 911. One has to wonder what type of gentleman's agreements there have been between the corporate media and the White House in an effort to shape public opinion about govt policy and to distract people with tabloid fluff.

Fox and the other corporate 'news' networks look like a video arcade room filled with the latest Hollywood gossip, the ongoing sagas about murder trials in California (they ragged on the Peterson case every day for two years even though it had no national significance), the regular cronies from Forbes, Time, and Newsweek, the latest sagas about beautiful young white girls who have disappeared, and phony 'interviews' where loud-mouth hosts run over the mouth and 'win' carefully controlled and crafted interviews where the deck has been stacked in their favor. Great news.

The fact that people even consider the video content on networks like Fox and the rest to be news is a testament to how well people can be socialized into believing something that isn't true. But then again there are a lot of people that would consider the National Inquirer hard-hitting news.

P.S. Someone tell that person on Fox to quit banging the empty garbage cans with a stick. That theme music (noise?) is really annoying. :)

This IS the BBC ... you may not watch it as much as i do..but you are talking about the BBC..as much as you are talking about 'coporate' news.
The 'decent' image the BBC has is unjustified in many ways.
