Perhaps the current administration didn't make a statement to that effect, but neither did they dispute it. And you can see by some of the rsponses that many have already jumped on the Al Qaeda bandwangon.

By saying they were quick to blame Al-Quaeda you imply that is what they said.
But, you now say they didn't.
They could well have been linked.
Isn't it a good thing they did not jump to conclusions?
I fear though, they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Yes, I can see a few have.
Even with the opportunity for more upto date info.
    What can ya do?

    All you said was: "They"

    You could have meant anybody.

I do watch the news here.
From what I read and watched...
Facts "leaked" out "they" solidified their story.
What were you implying - the media wanted an Al-Quaeda connection?

    Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

im not implying anything. im saying it was reported then retracted..as per usual when facts leak out before they can solidify their official story. "they" being the governments involved.

its been in your newspapers for 2 days now.

and i never said a word about al quaeda ..

I can appreciate what you want to do.
I was talking about what you seemingly were implying others had done.

No I turned off CNN, because the pretty little narrator just kept bringing up Al Qaeda without any proof. It seemed the only real terrorists she'd ever heard of were Al Qaeda. And if she couldn't link them she didn't have a story. I was discusseded with the level of reporting.

I think you may have added: "they" being the governments involved.

It kinda makes more sense now.

You can say what you like, sometimes your post border on vague.

Again, I never said you did mention Al-Quaeda (apart from in your post where you mention Al-Quaeda: they say they are not linked to "Al Qaeda")

I watched the early stories on CNN I saw them continually bring Al Qaeda into the matter. By then American viewers already bought into the idea that they were the master minds.

I also remember the train bombings and how little they wee covered by US media. But now is a slow media time.

    EARLY being the operative word.
It was the same here...it was speculative and with previous Al-Quaeda activities in the region, do you blame them?
How on earth do you know "American viewers already bought into the idea that they were the master minds" ?

Well with the new HD conversion movement that may well be a thing of the past. I find my conversion boxes cutting out at really weird times. I don't pay for cable or satelite so I get what is broadcast, and I am witnessing some weird interruptions.
