Do you know at certain degrees hot a business might have to consider health issues and let people go home? Check t out. Anyway, I have an AC unit on my furnace with the cooler thing out back of my house. It's rated for a bigger building then mine so it cools the whole house quite fast. I use it in the afternoon for a while and it's pretty well good in here. Wouldn't live without it. As far as a store being like the one you work for, I wouldn't go back if they made me crack a sweat shopping. They better do something before summer is over, that's when it's needed, not after a reno when winter is on the way. The ice bucket doesn't work, tried it back in my poorer days and all it does is put out a bit of cool air if you stand right in front of it and that's short lived. The ice melts quickly.
That's funny because while I find it cool in the bedroom and am snuggled up in the top sheet, BF is hot, with AC having ran earlier and he looks at me and sweats more. I can't run it at night, I would feel like someone stuff me in a refrigerator. I like to be cool during the day but not really at night. We soon need to find a compromise, like a heavy wool blanket for me while he gets his AC at night,,, hahahaha You'd think he had menopause going on and was having hot flashes the way he complains.
adjust the thermostat so it cycles off, or turn the fan on to a higher speed, blows air over coils faster than it can cool . less cooling effect it felt.
He eats some but also garlic, and I already told him it's probably the food he eats, those are foods that work on the blood and heart so he is probably causing his own furnace inside. He is definitely running hotter then I am. I like peppers too but never seen anyone add peppers to their coleslaw. It's good but he would even add more to his. He eats all but the green ones because they cause him a gassy gut for some reason. Also lots of onions and spices.
Ya I have it set to go on in the day time on thermostat but at night I shut it right off. Will have to change it so it cools but not as much. Maybe a middle temp for us both.
he may be sweating because of the oversize AC. Its not getting its job done before it cycles off. basically it should run longer to collect the moisture. however its cooling faster than it can do so , leaving remaining water in the air. All people are different tho and the comfort level is subjective..
The best air conditioner I ever had was the summer I spent living in North Truro on Cape Cod. It didn't matter the wind direction because it was either off the ocean or the cool waters of cape cod bay :2thumbsup: Hotwater
Central air is as essential to me as the furnace is in the winter. Living in the city now I find I use the air far more than I ever did at my home in the country. No space for air to move and too many surfaces to hold heat.
Nope. OP, I live fairly close to you, and I would never consider air conditioning in this part of the world.
I would agree with this but no one else has had this problem. It runs a complete cycle and then shuts off after the blower is done, then runs later when the temp calls for it, the house is a good solid one, heat and cooling stays in well. I have never seen or felt moisture and when I had a guy do some work to tile one of my bathrooms he said there is no bug or moisture issues at all here. He did the work in the middle of summer. He even went in the attic and said it was nice and dry up there and the insulation was in great shape so if the AC was running bad I would expect there should be some build up somewhere. My basement is always dry and cool and I don't even heat it in winter, I would if we had very cold temps here. I live in a fairly dry climate so we don't get many damp days except for when it rains a couple, few days.
That's awesome! When I was a kid, I dreamed of living by the ocean when I grew up. My childhood dream came true! Just across the street from me is Ocean Street. God = :clown:
I agree. Even if I had the air conditioner, I probably wouldn't use it unless it was deadly heat. But I like the homemade air conditioner so I'm going to try it .. or a version of it.
if your txv is set proper , the superheat will be within the parameters, even if its over sized ... under sizing is more a problem, better to have more btu/cfm than not enough. no way to make it bigger, when its smaller to begin with. AC/heating is a customer satisfied piece of equipment. as long as youre paying the bills, its working and keeping you cool. Its really dont matter if its within the parameters.. :afro:
