http://madamenoire.com/290330/14-gestures-we-wish-men-knew-are-just-creepy/ I don't agree with all of these, because a few of them feel like the logic in SOME of those scenarios is going out of it's way to FIND something subjective to get paranoid about. But the others are kinda realistic and sensible.
I personally don't agree because those don't really strike me as "creepy" per se. In fact, I think they are all nice gestures even though some might get a bit too much if overdone.
I think some are sensible and also appeal to my inner need to avoid talking to people....I don't want a stranger walking me home or carrying my bags or offering to give me rides. He could be a serial killer and if he's not, I probably wouldn't feel like making conversation anyways. I think in some ways the list is reflective of how antisocial and distrusting our society is. A lot of that is due to a daily bombardment in the media of stories of assault, rape, murder. Some of the things on the list I would never even notice, like turning your phone over during dinner. And some are weird and have never happened to me - never has anyone tried to obsessively spoon feed me.
Exactly, I completely agree. So you noticed the weird "putting away the phone = red flag" one too? I thought that was really strange because the flip side of that is that one doesn't put away the phone and then date goes sour because of NOT putting away the phone and being in the moment.
