In my opinion, it depends on your true age, not just number. I personally prefer men in their 30's and 40's. My bf is 35 and I am 25 and we get along well.
Truly I believe love is blind. To Age, Gender, Sexual Preference. But I do believe there is a certain responsibility that the older person should be held accountable for. Quite honestly I think the law should have no factor in how a person loves. You should however use common sense, my girlfriend is 16 I love her all the same but we do not have sex because I being 20 know that there is allot of growing up that happens between 16-18. I also have a boyfriend who is 18 in a month, we do fool around but it is also limited cause I feel he has much to learn. Before me he was "straight" so I don't want him rushing into anything he can't handle and also when you turn 18 there normally is a large amount of growing up that happens. As for my 19 year old bestfriend/fuck buddy he is at a level far more sexually advance when it comes down to male on male. Anyway what I am trying to say is age should mean nothing when it comes down to love but there is a degree of responsibility the older person has to the inexperience and innocence of the younger person.
my parents are about 9 to 10 years apart in age. i think anything above that is just way too weird. think about it, a 20 year old dating a 40 something year old? there are some physical differences there. i couldnt do it. i prefer anyone around 2 years older/younger than me and that's it. anyone else, do whatever with whomever, but in my opinion any relationship where there's more than a 10 year age difference just doesn't really fit well in my mind.
