I was thinking for some reason this morning as I was humming over Fear Factory's 540,000* of Fahrenheit lyrics "Feel the fire storm melting your spirit into glass" what the chances would be that if there is an afterlife or even a human spirit that your spirit would actually be able to survive the ground zero blast and impact. Then I felt sad about the folks in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the ones who were blown away by the initial blast, if they did not reach their afterlife. Then what would happen to you? That's gotta be it, done, dusted, finished, gone, goodbye?
forest fires where I live have been very bad... worst in decades.. a job I work at is in the forest and was saved... before the fire you heard birds, insects, saw deer and it looked lively.. since then in the last week since we were allowed back in we have not seen a single bird, deer, bee... nothing... no sounds at all... just higher winds cause the tree branches are gone and dont stop the wind...and the forest looks like a bomb went off.... its a sad sight... couldn't imagine if all these forest trees were homes... though driving to work you can see dozens of homes burn to the concrete.. what would happen to me? Either stand on my house and fight it with water or run... a bomb you cant see coming... well you end up like the little birds
If movies hold any validity there's a chance you might hear the bomb coming. "Whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiistle"
Do you mean....afterlife as in spiritual afterlife or as in physical life on Earth after a catastrophic event? A blast like that....I'd say everyone in the area is toast. But if there is a spiritual afterlife, I'd guess that it wouldn't be affected in any way.
Spiritual afterlife. I don't know too much about spirits and stuff I guess, I believe we have one.. Just with all the energy and heat from the blast, could a "spirit" literally survive it? People claim to have outer body visions before death or near death, my father has a good story about a bike crash that he'd had and he mentioned he could see himself and the ambulance and everything going on around him while he was floating of sorts. If there was a nuclear explosion would your spirit be completely annihilated along with everything else?
I don't think it would affect it in any way. I'm not an expert on the subject in any way but I have spent a good number of years reading hundreds of near-death experience accounts and plenty of studies, books, etc. It's a fascinating subject to me. I am as sure as I possibly can be that if those accounts are true (I think they are)....it is a completely different, higher realm of existence that is not affected by conditions in this realm. This realm is a "lower" realm the is really dumbed down for the purpose of experience and perspective. It's a facade imo.
It is interesting. There's a experiment I read where they weighed people before they died and moment after death and they all lost an average of 14grams right after death or something. That's from memory so I'm not sure of the numbers. I think the doctor was trying to prove the existence of a spirit that way. I just tend to think with the energy at ground zero and the light and heat of these "millions of suns" that a soul might not even get through that and if it did I hope it's not wandering around with burned out eyes.
I do not think that the spiritual part of a person would not be whole not matter what happened to the physical part of a being. Otherwise those who die in horrific circumstances now like fires or other situations would also be in the same situation. The spiritual part of us is not of flesh.
The heat from a thermonuclear blast is about ten times the temperature of the surface of the Sun! The heat released by a nuclear explosion only accounts for 35 percent of its total energy. At temperatures this high, matter cannot exist in its typical solid, liquid, or gaseous state. This results in a substance being stripped of all its electrons and existing as ionized plasma! Theoretically could a spirit or human soul survive the tremendous heat, gamma rays, radioactive iodine, and an assortment of other nasty forms of radiation? Sure why not Hotwater
It was just the specific lyrics "melting into glass". In the supernatural world I don't think ghosts and spirits would be affected by a conventional fire either but a blast that can blow a person into nothing and leave their shadow on the wall, the energy in that atmosphere man it must be intense. I'm not into nuclear warfare or anything but I do have a small fascination with the A Bomb. I had to do a paper once on mans greatest achievement in a history class and I wrote my paper on the atomic bomb. The teachers audibly laughed it down but I had a justification. I said during my oral presentation that as far as I'm concerned the only thing humans have successfully been able to do is kill one another. Our most successful years in human history were between 41-45 because we then learned how to kill people on a mass scale be it gas chambers or the a bomb. In those years we got mass murder down pat. I think I got 14/20 marks for it. I was a master at not doing homework/assignments and then getting up and bullshitting my way through them during oral presentations.
Actually I think what he's saying relates directly to the lyrics you wrote. =p If a spirit is made up of any matter whatsoever it would be destroyed. ??
I don't think a soul is made up of any particular matter. It's more than likely made up of all matter in a sense. It is a very small part of a much greater whole. The individual conscientiousness exists on it's own but it can't exist outside the parameters it is given without help from the collective conscientiousness. Sort of like....you can live on Earth....but you can't live here without oxygen. You can't live here without water. Your existence is dependent upon the existence of a support system that we have very little to do with.
But if all matter is evaporated in this blast then the soul is too right? Like if the soul needs the earth as it's anchor what happens if a big comet blows us into the atmosphere? Then we are really fucked? XD And during a blast is there an "earth" for a spirit to anchor itself at the initial time of death or is that too completely obliterated for a few moments.
Although our thoughts and brains work in a manner that is measurable. No such thing can be claimed to prove a soul exists. Although....the Quantum Particle/Wave Forms that exchange between Hadrons in other versions of ourselves in a Multiversal System could account for something. TooReal
I think Earth is only a small part of the facade. IMO there is no way that a soul gets "evaporated". There is no such thing as life or death. There is no such thing as time. It's all a facade. The only difference between all of us humans is our expression of our current experience.
Human's are not the only intelligent species in the Universe....Human's are not even the only intelligent species on Earth! TooReal
