Being white and from Texas, I feel no cultural identity whatsoever. I'm not expecting everyone to feel that way, and it has it's downsides.

Is it unrealistic/overly idealistic for me to say I wish everyone could just be chill?

I've been chill from the beginning. I'm not getting into any arguments about the disparity of "rights" between blacks and whites because my white arse doesn't know enough to make any major claims about the issue. All I know that it is stupid and that I am ashamed that such discrimination still occurs.

I've been discriminated against by the government and private financial institutions alike because of my race. I've been submersed in black culture most of my life (from both white and black friends) and I went to a 90% black high school right outside the ghetto for four years. My college, I have not seen population figures on, but also has a large black population and my English 101 (which was rhetoric based) was basically a racial issues class. To assume that I don't know about such issues because I'm white is just plain racist.
