Advice

I wanna participate in a photography contest(http://ghouldaddy.deviantart.com/journal/4261684/), and I have two shots to choose from, but I haven't made up my mind yet! What do you think, which one's the better? This is the first of three shots, and it symbolizes Love as Obsession (the other two are Love as Passion and Love Makes You Feel Deliriously Happy...I'll post them as soon as I can.)

The first one is my favourite personally. But also due

to the fact its more centered kind of like a frame
effect. The other one is kinda cut off from the pic.

i agree the first one is best, the shadowing on it is very noticeable and thats really nice, the second one you are kinda muddy the sheets have shadowing but not enough IMHO.. so yeah i dig the first one best.

The one without the phone in it is better

 

I like the first one better,decent composition and conrtast..would like to see the background alittle darker tho.good for you naren on entering contests,there is alot of contests out there that are better anbd get noticed by the right people.ive gotton work before becouse they have seen my work in a contest.maybee keep serchin for more to enter,most cost $$ to enter but the plublisity is worth it.plus the prizes are worth it.i have won cameras and i wom $3,000.00 bucks once when i was still in photography shcool.oh you can win schollorships allso. sunshine

 

I like the seconed one better, I get more feeling from that one then the other.

 

i like the first one best.. im not sure why, im no photography expert,

 

I like the second one better, but that is because it shows a clear focus, where as the first one neither the phone or the person seem 100%, they both seem a little tiny bit out of focus.

 

In the first one, I'm intentionally in focus and the phone isn't, while in the second one I'm intentionally out of focus and the phone is in focus...and I used autofocus to be sure, so I don't know why they both seem out of focus, maybe it's cos the pictures are small.

they both are great. i just like the first one more because it shows your expressions better. the second one is cool though because you can see you focusing endlessly on the phone..
