It's probably not tin foil, it is most probably aluminum. Although the health risk is probably small, you might want to see if any fumes result from hot aluminum. I am sure it would take a lot of doing it that way, but hey, when we are constantly inundated with harmful chemicals, why add to that if you don't have to!
