feel the same way. why get a job and work all your life to please someone else. id be perfectly happy getting a good job them coming home, hanging out with friends and staying on the computer listening to some Tool. Whenever im on acid i think about this stuff alot. im actullly thiinking about moving to europe and relaxing a whole lot there 8)

elf- I can tell you are a very Intellagent person with has vast knowledge and cares alot about mankind. But dude you need some help your views are so warped and down right delusional. What really gets me is you ask people there opinions on life and what steps you should take and you don't get the answer back you like so you get pissed. Bottom line is grow the fuck up and stop feeling so dam sorry for yourself. Sure alot of people have it hard but you now what they do something about it and make something out of there life.From what you say You have tons of opportunities in life but you seem unmotivated to take up anything .Some times you got to work hard and strive for what you want in life. You could go out tommrow and get a job and go to College, Its not like you live in some war torn land ?Its so dam sad becasue a Intellagent person like you could do some good in this world. You could easily get a good Job Helping the people you care about so much after you go to school. I didn't want to get into this debate, but I couldn't stand any more. Yes, America has a freedom, freedom that everyone can say whatever they read in New York Times. Are you guys just little bit aware what is America doing to the rest of the world and serving you stories how you are fighting for your country and freedom. Who normal can understand war for peace?!?! I've been bombed for 6 months by America and I still don't know why!!!??? Who gives the fuck about little bit of crime in your rotten country when you MURDERED half of the world, and I am not talking just about people, I am talking about whole flora and fauna. I know from expirience that when America openly say that they want to help certain country, it is time to move from that country! God help those who were helped by America!!
And who makes the most weapons in the world, to who it is cheeper to drop all those bombs that are about to expire (or alredy expired) on some poor country instead to pay some money to dispose it properly?
The only thing I have to say is, you guys are still living fine, much better than you should, but not forever. Who ever lives by the sword, he dies by the sword. In the long history of man, every empire had its rise and fall, even those ones whitch seemed to be undistructable!! The amount of misery that America produced to rest of the world, and you guys are still not aware how lucky you are because if you want to work, you can always find something to do. What would you do if you are one of the survivals in the pile of stones, witch used to be a beautifull city before and the whole surrounding is contaminated with Uranium from bombs? Would you apply for a gardener or in Super Mart?
I don't have anything against anyone, because I look at every person individualy, because we are individuals. Don't get me wrong, I am on this forums because most of you guys are pretty smart and open minded, but when somebody start talking about America, as a Country, I just loose it, because if somebody fucks up this planet, it will be America, or somebody because of America. And I think that we should somehow stand up against all what is not natural (including crime, politics, police, war, polution, powerty........) not just in America, everywhere. It must be a global thing! And if you guys who live in America don't give an example, who will?!

I think you have me sized up to be some lazy excuse of a bum Shocomb. I realize that a shitty labor job is fine for the 90% of Americans who like to work and spend money on stupid crap and drugs (such as the 70% of America who drink alcohol or the 90+% who are addicted to caffeine according to wikipedia) I have had a taste of this life for the past 6 years. I do not see anything in it for me aside from increasing depression and sadness of trying to relate to masses of idiots who are most concerned with the new television program, their night out at the bar, or worse yet their sack of that flake/ ron. I plan on holding out as long as possible without being subject to this horrid experience of the mentally enslaved work class. If I can make it out of college without getting yet another dead end job then I will consider myself lucky. By that time, I can use my education to make a fair wage; and, I will not have to shack up with 6 people in order to afford an appt. Hopefully I can convince my dad to let me stay with him, but things are getting complicated. I am most likely going to have to take all online courses for a while until I am legally allowed to leave the county (which could be as long as 2 years) I am being charged with a crime I had nothing to do with and actually had no knowledge of. I am completely innocent and I spent over a week in jail waiting for someone to bail me out; it was a horrid experience. Now I face multiple felonies and this is completely unjust as I never even knew anything about the crime I am charged with. Has anyone else done college courses online and how was it?

Same thing happened to me, except I was charged with and ended up pleading guilty to hit and run, when in fact the person RAN INTO MY CAR on the highway in what I can only fathom to be a suicide attempt. Of course, he doesnt remember a thing, and I am left being charged.
I have 3 years of parole left, and I believe 4 until I can get my liscence back. I cant leave my town, I get tested every other week and random visits to my house all the time. Dude came last night actually lol.
Nearly lost my son, I did lose my fiance and ended up becoming a single father and I struggle every day of my life.
I would also like to know about online classes because I had to move out of Philadelphia in order to walk to work, and whenever I can save up for a computer at home I would love to pick my college plans back up.

Really though elf, saying this is unjust and this is unfair isnt going to fix anything. Only you can fix yourself. I had to come to accept being a prisoner

I commend you for taking a genuine stance of concern for me Shocbomb, but I thought I explained it clearly that I was looking for an alternative to the dead-end job solution. I also implore you to hear me out on the facts about this country. The subjects I have been touching on are important misconceptions of the average american. Take a moment and read about most major moves the US has ever made in history. read some polls and acknowledge the POV of any person who lives in another country and see that our country has done nothing but lie to its people in order to take advantage of other civilizations, either with nuclear threats or with warfare. It really just never fails to happen. Finally it is catching up to us and I have to hear about how america is the best place to live? The UN released its poll of best countries to live in today, US made 8th but was 'very close to being 10th'. According to the UN we have been slipping lower and lower in quality of life in recent years. To answer many of your questions, no we are not the freest best place to live. A financial concern of mine is just simple math. If I get a job in Europe, I can work for 2 years and accumulate the same profit I would make in America working over 4 years. (This is taking into consideration average wages and minimum wages in Europe which tend to nearly double Americas minimum and average wages after currency exchange) Another point is thatI hear in some places in Europe, I could live very cheaply in youth hostels or similar accomodations. In America I am forced to give away 100% of my earnings to room and board and utilities. In Europe more of the cash I make seems to be money in my pocket. If you consider these simple facts it becomes very clear that America is actually the land of the Fees and home of the Slaves. - Of course this is an exageration but is has a ring to it
